18. "Dad..I-"

Tuk was right next to the ship, as Y/n caught up to her. "Tuk, wait" Y/n called out. Tuk turned to Y/n as she stood on the ship, " Sully's stick together Y/n, that is what dad says". Y/n got onto the ship with Tuk. "You are right, but you listen to me, you stick with me, and be very careful, understood" Y/n said looking at Tuk. Tuk nodded her head, then the two crouched down going through the ship. Tuk hopped over the railing first and Y/n was getting ready to hop over as well. Quaritch grabbed Tuk, Y/n stood up and reached for Tuk but Quaritch pushed her off the railing, back into the water.

Y/n called for an ilu, hoping there was one near by. An ilu came up to her as she made the bond quickly and swam off. She noticed Spider and Lo'ak in the water but no Neteyam. She quickly rode over to them. Then Neteyam jumped into the water.

"Y/n that was insane, you should have been there" Spider said. Lo'ak and Spider swam over to the ilu. "Come on bro" Lo'ak said to Neteyam. Y/n looked at Neteyam, something wasn't right. "Go, I'm shot" Neteyam said softly. Y/n's heart dropped. Lo'ak swam over to his brother. 

"SHIT, guys he's hit" Lo'ak yelled as he helped Neteyam swim over to the ilu. Y/n got off the ilu and helped Lo'ak get Neteyam on the back of it. Once Lo'ak and Neteyam were on, Spider got on, helping to keep Neteyam up. Y/n held onto the side of the ilu. " Y/n are you on" Lo'ak asked quickly. "Yes, Yes just hurry up" Y/n said in a panic. Lo'ak started to swim off holding onto his brothers arm. "You're gonna be okay bro, I got you". Lo'ak rode towards a rock, where his father was.

"DAD! NETEYAM!" Lo'ak called out as they got closer. Y/n let go of the ilu and helped Lo'ak and Spider get Neteyam onto the rock. "Watch his head" Lo'ak said. Jake set Neteyam down on the rock, as Y/n went and sat by Neteyam's side. Lo'ak sat on the other side of his brother. 

"How did this happen" Jake said upset. "We don't know" Spider said. Jake lifted up Neteyam and saw the exit wound. Jake grabbed Lo'ak's hand and made him apply pressure to Neteyam's wound.

"Neteyam, keep your eyes on me" Y/n said, tears pouring out of her eyes like a waterfall.  Neteyam breathed heavily as he grabbed onto Y/n's hand. "You were the best thing that ever happened to me, Y/n.." Neteyam spoke softly. Y/n shook her head, "You shut your damn mouth, don't start that shit Neteyam, you are going to be okay" Y/n said through her tears. Neteyam turned to Lo'ak and grabbed onto his arm, "Promise me you'll take care of her, brother". Lo'ak looked at his brother, "I promise". Neteyam smiled as he turned back to Y/n, placing his hand on her cheek, "I love you, always". Y/n cried even harder as she placed her hand on top of Neteyam's, "I love you too Neteyam". Neytiri flew in on her Ikran and ran over to Neteyam's feet sitting next to Jake.

"No no no" Neytiri said softly. Neteyam turned to his parents, "I want to go home" he said, his breathing becoming heavier. Jake sighed, "We're gonna go home son". Neteyam looked around at everyone before his eyes landed on Jake, "Dad..I-". "Neteyam" Neytiri said softly. Y/n looked at Neteyam and was frozen. "Neteyam..." Y/n said softly.

"No no no..NETEYAM" Neytiri yelled as she cried and screamed. Lo'ak looked down at his hands covered in his brothers blood, tears pouring out of his eyes. 

"NETEYAM! NO! You promised me everything would be okay! NETEYAM, PLEASE GET UP!" Y/n screamed out. Jake hugged Neytiri trying to calm her down. Lo'ak got up and went over to Y/n and held her in his arms. 

"no no no no...noo" Y/n cried out as she held onto Lo'ak. Lo'ak turned Y/n's face away from Neteyam. Y/n's sobs only got louder. Neytiri hugged Neteyam as she cried. Jake stopped moving as he heard Quaritch in his ear. 

"Jake~ Are you listening...Yeah you're listening, I'm sorry about your son, wish things had gone differently, but you've still got two daughters that are alive and well... Well you don't have them, I do. Same deal as before, them for you, don't keep me waiting Sully"

Jake turned to Lo'ak. "Where are your sisters". Lo'ak stayed silent. "WHERE ARE THEY" Jake yelled. Y/n stopped crying for a second, "They're on the ship".  Jake grabbed ahold of Neytiri, "I know you are in pain, but I need you to be strong, because he has our daughters". Once Neytiri heard that Kiri and Tuk were in danger she stopped crying. Jake looked into her eyes, "I need you to be with me". Neytiri nodded her head as she picked up her bow. She stood up and walked over to her Ikran, making a bond and flying off. Spider got on an Ilu and waited for Jake.

"You stay with your brother" Jake said to Lo'ak. Lo'ak stood up, "Dad I want to go with you". Jake was about to speak but remembered what Y/n said to him, about thinking before he speaks, "Y/n needs you right now, stay here" Jake said before he turned around and got on the ilu. 

Y/n was sitting next to Neteyam, holding onto the necklace he made her with his name on it. Tears still running down her face. Lo'ak stood next to her, worrying about his family. He sat down next to her, looking at his brother. Lo'ak slowly became angry. He turned to Y/n and placed his hand on her cheek, "Stay with him" He said quickly before he got up and ran towards the water. 

"No!" Y/n called out but it was too late, Lo'ak was gone.
