Imagine it's like a crumbling courtroom, walls are missing, the oavement is cracked. And then there's 4 corners, one for each member and their character items are in them. And they have like their own "throne" in the center cause kingdom
Anyway
So like-
Haruka's character item is like old fanmail she hid in an unopened box and her throne is the most intact because she still tries to keep an image, however, she is seated close to an open window which constantly shines a light on her
Akito's character item is trashed paintings [most of which are self portraits] and his throne is really damaged because he tries his best to earn validation, even going as far as working to death on a painting if it impresses his father
Mizuki's character item is the same as canon, a mannequin and their throne is covered because they still hide their identity
Tsukasa's character item is a piano and his throne is covered in tape in an attempt to keep it neat and hide the damages, it's over the top but at the same time plain
Oh yeah VS designs
They don't have masks because they're already manifestations of the feelings their creator tries desperately to hide, and they see no point in hiding in a world literally made from his feelings
Miku wears her mask on her head rather than face because she is miku and she does whatever she wants
