"Shocked by what?"

I inhaled and exhaled, turning around to face the nurse, almost making her drop her equipment. I awkwardly scratched my elbow and saw the woman try to hide in her laughter.

"So that's what our two patients heard.."

"Wait- Huh!?"

"Nothing! I'll just quickly finish up and leave. And please, do it at home next time.."

"Y-Yes, I apologize.."

The nurse took a last glance and showed a slight grin before doing her job. I swear to god I'll smack the shit out of Minji.. She said everything was perfect and that it was possible I might leave tomorrow.

"Everything is all good. It's much better than expected. You really have a strong will, don't you?"

"I guess I do. Also, just a random question... How fast does a hickey fade away usually?"

"Well.. Around 10 days to 2 weeks. If you want to get rid of them faster, a cold spoon or an ice pack does the trick. Or just use makeup to hide them."

"I see, thank you.."

The nurse nodded and turned around to leave. The woman opened the door and almost butted into Minji who was entering the room. When she saw the hickey on her neck, she widened her eyes and turned to look at me. I already knew what she had in mind and I just nodded as an answer. She gave me a slight thumbs up and left the room, making me feel even more embarrassed than I already was. Minji saw how reddened my cheeks were and handed me the concealer along with foundation with an awkward smile.

"Sorry, I was a bit late."

"If you do something like this again, I'm actually going to slaughter you."

"I'd love that."

I scoffed at her and went back to the mirror to put concealer almost all over my neck. I saw her use her phone's camera to see the hickey on her neck and touch it. After I was done, I moved towards her and put her phone down and tilted her head a bit to put some foundation on the purple area. I saw a slight smile forming on her face and she held my waist to pull me closer to her, making me slightly giggle and forget that I was upset at her.

"I knew you wouldn't be mad at me for long, you love me a bit too much."

"Yeah yeah~ I guess I do love my girlfriend a bit too much and that's why I take care of her whenever she gets us in troublesome situations."

"I love you too."

I was done with her foundation and leaned in to place a light kiss on her cheek. She turned to face me and buried her head in my neck and hugged me. I melted in her arms and hugged her as well, patting her back. It was impossible for me to stay mad at her, I just loved her too much no matter what stupid stuff she did.

It was finally dark outside and we decided to go on a walk near a park after getting allowance from the doctors. She bought me food and took care of me throughout the whole day, making sure I wasn't in pain anywhere.

We sat on a bench and watched the kids run around the playground. I noticed Minji was staring at the moon with her concentrated expression that made me smile. I leaned my head on her shoulder and interwined our hands together, loving the atmosphere. Minji hummed a song that I immediately recognized as the one from my last performance.
