Without a goal in mind, Maybelle started walking back to Barb's car before taking her bag out of her car and started walking down the road.
Maybelle blinked away her tear but they just kept falling until she releases a choked sob maybe she was over-emotional from The beer or Nancy's words hit her straight through the heart.
Maybelle didn't even notice a van driving behind her even with headlights shining giving her a shadow the van stopped "Hey you know you shouldn't be on the road late at night" a voice spoke Causing Maybelle to turn around only to squint at the bright headlights that were blurred "sorry" Maybelle mumbled before walking to the other side of the road.
"Hey, are you alright? The voice asked cautiously walking towards her Maybelle turned around quickly wiping away her tears before taking a deep breath "Yeah sorry just in deep thought and all" Maybelle tried sounding convincing but her voice betrayed her with a crack
"You definitely don't sound okay, I'm not a creep or anything but I can drive you to wherever you want it's pretty late and all" the voice awkwardly spoke.
Maybelle chuckled "that would be nice because I think I'm lost. Maybelle questioned her.
Maybelle sat in the front seat awkwardly unsure of what to do, she realized the person was a guy who seemed to be around her age.
The radio was blaring a familiar song Maybelle could help but laugh

"You know Metallica? The guy asked seeming to be shocked
The girl raised an eyebrow with a smirk "yeah, why do I seem too girly not to know the the band" Maybelle joked. Getting a snort out of the guy
"Oh umm... this is my place thank you for taking me" Maybelle mumbled stepping out of the van
The guy chuckle "No problem can't leave a girl outside this late" He teased.
Maybelle only rolled her eyes before closing the van door but she was smirking by the time she made it through her front door.
Maybelle sighed in relief that Hopper was with the search party looking for Will and not home she doesn't have the willpower to tell him where she was.
The next day,
Maybelle groaned her head pounding like a thousand needles piercing her skull Maybelle walked into the kitchen while halfway putting on a Metallica hoodie.
Hopper chuckled "What happened to you? Hopper ask with a huge grin Maybelle shrugged her shoulders getting an apple off the table and muttering something about death.
Hopper only laughed "Well, have a good day" Hooper teased Maybelle just waved before heading out the door.

Maybelle sighed before turning off her Walkman as the school bell rings she started to take out her notes when someone tapped Maybelle on the shoulder Maybelle turned around to see an anxious Nancy standing there "Was Barb with you last night? Nancy asked "no" was all Maybelle mumbled before turning around taking out her notebook.
Maybelle sat at a different table since Barb wasn't there and Maybelle was conflicted about Nancy Maybelle ignored the extra weight as someone sat beside her.
"A girl like you who knows Metallica is my type of person" a familiar voice spoke Maybelle turned around the see the boy from Yesterday since it was daytime Maybelle could see him clearer he had brown frizzy hair to his shoulders and was wearing a shirt that said Hellfire with a little devil wearing a leather jacket and had brown eyes.
Maybelle smirked "hello there, van boy, yes I am clearly a fan of Metallica don't act so surprised now" Maybelle joked
Van Boy seemed taken aback by her joke before chuckling "Van boy?" he asked amusement laced in his voice
"Sorry I don't remember getting a name" Maybelle acted like she was thinking putting her thumb and pointer finger on her chin.
he couldn't help but laugh before standing up "The name is Eddie Munson" Van Boy introduced himself before taking a dramatic bow.
Maybelle chuckled "The name is Maybelle Grey " Maybelle introduced herself.
Eddie sat back down "So what's your favorite song? Eddie asked
"If we're talking about Metallica I have to say Seek and Destroy or the whole kill them all album" Maybelle confirmed
"oh, Seek and destroy that's a good one" Eddie commented.
After school, Maybelle started walking to her car but noticed Steve Tommy and Carol, and Nancy surrounding Johnathan Steve had Johnathan's camera before dropping it as it shattered
Maybelle was done with their Bullshit Maybelle walked over "What the fuck is your problem, Harrington? Maybelle yelled standing beside Johnathan.
The group was taken by surprise Tommy started laughing "Take a look he taken picture of everyone"
"And? that doesn't give you the Damn right to break his shit" Maybelle yelled before walking towards Steve "What if I broke something you treasured over a stupid mistake uh" Maybelle yelled poking his chest furiously nobody spoke
Before scuffing looking at Nancy in disappointment "your better than this Nanc, Barbs right" Maybelle muttered shaking her head and walking away.
Maybelle helped Johnathan with the camera pieces "you didn't have to do that" Johnathan mumbled
Maybelle sighed before giving him a sad smile " What they did wasn't right" Maybelle replied handing Johnathan the rest of his camera and going to her car.
Maybelle groaned getting out her bike from the garage "Those kids" she muttered before driving up the street.
It was getting dark but Maybelle kept searching the woods she started to hear the group of boys arguing up the hill "Guys" Maybelle called out reaching the group Lucas jumped "How does she keep doing that"Lucas muttered
"El thinks she knows where Will is" Mike reasoned
Maybelle sighed "Guys let's- Maybelle was cut off by 2 ambulances heading down a street.
The group followed the Ambulance through the forest Maybelle's heart started racing hoping they found Will alive, the group stopped to hide behind an Ambulance but Maybelle kept going until she besides a firefighter
"No" Maybelle whimpered two officers were taking a body out of the lake on a stretcher in the same clothes Will was wearing that day
Maybelle couldn't help but start tearing up somebody brought Maybelle into a hug she knew right away who it was and broke down into tears
"Why is life so cruel" Maybelle sobbed
