While there isn't much information on carers, it doesn't mean you lack importance. You have boundaries, needs, and wants. Everyone puts you on a pedestal and in some cases, they just use you. That isn't your job. A regressor and caregiver are meant to be in a mutually beneficial relationship. Just as regressors have a headspace, so do caregivers. You have to protect that space just like a regressor has to protect theirs.
You are not an object or means of entertainment. You are a person, and you deserve respect and love and care.
