Luke's POV:

The thunderstorm continued to grow worse as constant flashes peered through the windows, causing loud rumbles of thunder by the second.

I peered over to Zander who was sitting beside me on our bed calmly reading a book. Thunderstorms used to in fact frighten him years previous, but now he seems to quite enjoy them.

He noticed me looking at him and simply smiled before laying his head on my shoulder.

"Remember when you used to be terrified of thunderstorms?" I reminded him before another flash of lightning appeared. "Yeah." was Zander's response before he continued seconds after. "Honestly, they're pretty relaxing now, i've never understood why though." he said, placing the book down beside him.

Zander scooted closer to me as I wrapped my arm around his torso. We sat there in silence for a few moments. "I love you.." Zander faintly whispered to me, grasping onto my free hand.

"I love you more, sweetheart." I muttered, kissing Zander on the forehead. I ran my fingers through his mauve hair as he rested on my shoulder.

Eventually, we both laid down, still holding each other tight. I continued to play with Zander's hair as he laid close. "Your hairs really soft." I complimented to him, unaware that he was still awake.

I could hear a low "Thanks.." I glimpsed down and saw his eyes still shut while he had a goofy smile on his face. "You're still awake?" I questioned. "Yeah, dumbass.." Zander answered sarcastically. 

I laughed in response. "Your cuddles are always awesome." he muttered into my chest. "I knoww.." I said.

I rested my head in Zander's hair as I began to soothingly rub his back. Moments after, I could hear Zander's faint snores which were interrupted by the constant booms of thunder.

The storm slowly began to weaken as I kept hold onto the love of my life. We both fell asleep there, trapped in one another's embrace. Words cannot express how much I love him. ♡
