I took a second glance at the picture on my wall and removed it from there and crushed it. I threw it inside my trash bin and lied down on my bed, hugging my pillow once again. I let it absorb my silent cries until I didn't have any more tears left to cry. I let the pain of separation get the best of me, in hopes of it stopping the moment I close my eyes and fall asleep. I hate this..

A WEEK LATER

7:55 AM / KYH

I woke up late for school, feeling sick and shivering out of cold. It was almost summer but it felt like winter all over again. I grabbed the thermometer on my nightstand and checked that I had a high fever of 39°C (102°F).

I thought of skipping school but today we had an exam day. I haven't studied for them but it was an English one and I always got good grades, so I was feeling confident. I got up from my bed, almost falling down and heard Yoojung going up the stairs. He knocked and opened my door and was surprised to see me like that.

"Yoohyeon? Are you ill? You should skip school and rest. I'll go cook you chicken soup and get you medicine-"

"No wait Yoojung. I have exams today and I really need to go."

"But- *sigh* The moment they're done, I want you back home, okay?"

"Got it.."

I went to the bathroom to wash up and saw Minji's spare toothbrush next to mine. The memories of me taking care of her and the happiness I felt every time we did something cute together.. I miss it. It has been a week, but the more time passed by, the more I wanted her to be back with me again. I miss her.

I washed up and felt sweat dripping down my forehead and my body twitching every few seconds. Thankfully, Yoojung took me to school and dropped me off. I was late by a few minutes, but it wasn't late enough to get my exam papers revoked. Thank god..

I got insidr the classroom and went to my seat, feeling slightly better because I sat down, but that feeling was cut short when I finally noticed Bora staring at me. She had a worried face but so did everyone. They don't have to be so worried, I'm fine..

The teacher handed me the test sheets and I stared at the first question and was left frozen on the spot. I actually didn't know the answer. It was something easy too, but I had to re-read it a few times to finally get it right.

I looked to my right and saw Chaewon and I was surprised because I didn't know we had classes together today. She then handed me a small piece of paper that had the answers and I looked at her shocked. She just winked and flashed me her happy smile and pretended that she was doing her test. I looked at the answers and matched them to the questions. Surprisingly, all of them were right. I saw Bora hand in her sheets before me and the teacher seemed a bit surprised since I was usually first. I handed in mine afterwards and whispered to the teacher that I had to go back home because I was sick.

He nodded and wished me a quick recovery before continuing checking the handed test's answers. I walked back towards my desk and felt everything around me spin around the moment I leaned in forward to grab my bag. I shook my head to fix my vision and moved towards the door to leave. The moment I left the room I heard a few students shouting that someone had passed out.
