"You won't, trust me! I remember how she looked at you when you had your last performance - she was so into you! Trust me, time will fix everything- Let's switch the sad and moody topic now. Tell me something fun...-"
We both continued talking about other stuff afterwards. I missed talking to her, she always knew what to say to make everything better. We've been talking for almost an hour and Gahyeon checked the time, taking out her wallet and left 20£ with 10 tickets to the performance show that I can hand out.
"I really loved our chatting session Yooh, but I need to get going. I still have some stuff to organize and staff to hire, so I'll leave first. Here's some tickets to give out to your friends for your show. Thanks for the great talk! You can keep the money, it's on me."
And with that, she left the cafè and I was left wondering what to do next. I thought of calling Yoojung, but the weather was good so a little walk wouldn't hurt.
I first went to the store I used to buy baked goods from when I was in 6th grade and saw that the store completely changed it's interior. The lady that had just gotten married then had a little toddler with her now.
She immediately recognized me and smiled widely, constantly complimenting my looks and saying that I've grown up well. I was never good with compliments so I kind of got embarrassed and thanked her shyly.
She gave me fresh cinnamon rolls with free ice cream. I thanked her again and left the small bakery with a filled stomach and all happy.
Next, I stopped at the park where I first encountered Bora. We both had just started 8th grade and she didn't really have any friends since she moved into the highschool. I probably looked really appealing to her and she was brave enough to ask me for my number to study together. I didn't know if she wanted to flirt with me or to ask me out on a date, but later she told me it was because she needed someone smart to help her with her IT project and I was there on the right place at the right time. She hasn't changed since then.
We promised eachother if we ever get bad grades, we'd stop being friends... And she instantly got an F in IT. She cried all night that she didn't want to be separated from me and begged me for one more chance. At first it was only about school and how we needed partners for projects, but it developed into an actual close friendship we both cherish a lot. I still haven't stopped making fun of her because of her crying.
I sat on the swing where we first talked and noticed a little boy swinging on the one next to mine and watching me with his adorable and curious eyes. He kept on laughing like a baby whenever I showed him a funny face or said something in god knows what alien language little kids spoke these days.
I stared at the kid and noticed his features resembled someone very familiar to me. Soon I heard a voice calling someone. The girl, that was apparently his sister, happily shouted his name the moment she saw him. He immediately turned over to the girl that was calling him and excitedly jumped on her for a big hug.
"Siyeon??"
"Yoohyeon??"
We both said that in unison and the little boy just looked at us confused. Siyeon waved awkwardly and so did I.
"Sissy! Is she your friend?"
"Yes Seojungie, that's my friend Yoohyeonie from school that me and Sua were telling you about."
"That's Yoohyeonie!? Can she be my big sissy too? I want to marry her!"
I laughed at the little boy's cuteness and watched Siyeon panic at his words. She put him down and let him play in the playground. She sat on the swing next to mine and giggled at her little brother's playfulness.
