The next morning Hedwig came down to the breakfast table and faced Harry while he was eating his cereal. A note was clutched tightly around his beak.

"It's from Hagrid." said Harry, grabbing the note as Hedwig flew away. Ripping the note opened he read it silently before relaying the information. "Buckbeak's appeal, it's set for the sixth."

"That's the day our exams finish." said Hermione, looking over Violet's copy of her Ancient Runes book while she (Violet) was eating.

"And, they're coming up here to do it." said Harry, still reading over the letter. "Someone from the Ministry of Magic and - and a executioner."

Hermione looked up startled. "But..But that sounds like they already decided his fate!"

"Yeah, Yeah it does.." said Harry.
"They can't! I didn't just spend all those days and hours looking up stuff for the appeal!" Ron howled, causing everyone in the general area around Ron to look at him.

But Harry already knew, everyone knew, there will be no appeal for Buckbeak, it was obvious. Gryffindor's triumph and Slytherin's final defeat leads into Malfoy's mood worse, which was nice to see. But Malfoy's swagger would regain itself after a few days - Harry heard his comments and sneers, and also his laughs.

Harry only wished Violet was physically able to bloodbend Draco Malfoy again, but he didn't want Malfoy to say anything. He was at least decent enough to not spread his half-breed story.

The quartet had wished to see Hagrid since this new information, but because the new security measurements had not yet been lifted, because of this, Harry was not able to tell Mira what he had done, and how irresponsible he was like Lupin said.

And he hoped it could stay that way, keep it like that, so she wouldn't hate him.
