For a moment they were one, but to the dismay of both it ended just as soon as it had begun.

Vera's hand ghosted her lips shock evident on her face as she stared at the girl across from her and heart it raced inside her chest beating harder than ever.

Wednesday seemed almost indifferent to what had just happened, the only proof that she was just as shocked with her actions was the way she couldn't maintain eye contact with Vera.

They both wanted to speak, to say something, but they didn't. And so they allowed their silence to seal that moment in a memory.

'What If?' blossoming Vera's mind once again.
