The Bet

chapter 15

"She what?!", The doctor shouted. Adrien sighed, "I'm sorry", he said as he placed his hand on Adrien's shoulder.

Adrien moved away from Marinette and hung his head down in disappoinment. "What's going on....where am I?", Marinette asked in a frantic tone.

"Calm down Marinette", alya said as she hugged her. "Who is Marinette!!?", She shouted in anger. She got really tired of everyone calling her Marinette and she didn't even know who they were.

"Ok calm down. Let's put her to sleep", the doctor suggested. He took out a needle and walked towards Marinette with it.

"No no no!!", Marinette screamed. Adrien gasped. "Hold her down", they all hold her down and the doctor inserted the needle in her arm.

She stopped moving after a couple of minutes. He took the needle out and she closed her eyes, drifting off in a deep sleep.

They layed her down and placed the sheets on her. Adrien sighed, "I'll try to find out what happened to her brain", the doctor said as he adjusted his glasses on his nose bridge.

He stepped out for a while and came back in with a black bag. He took out a couple of things. He placed a table by Marinette's bed.

He puts a computer on it. He got couple of cords and plunged it into the computer.

He then puts this white thingy on her head and turns towards the gang. "We can monitor her brain", he said. "Wait like....see what she's actually thinking?", Adrien asked in shock.

"Yes", the gang was shocked. They never heard a device being able to do that before. "This is a device I personally created to look inside someone's brain. The hospital doesn't know this exist", he explained.

"Oh wow", alya said. "Yeah", the doc chuckled. "Ok let's get started", he walked towards the computer and turned it on. It showed Marinette's brain waves then he tapped a button then it showed what she was now thinking.

(In her brain)

"Omg what is going on? Where am I?", She asked while looking around frantically. She looked at a near by bench and saw adrien sitting on the bench.

"Wow....he looks so familiar", she said as she squinted her eyes. She walked over to him. "Hey Marinette", he greeted her with a toothy smile.

Marinette smiled. "hi", he got up and hugged her. All of a sudden Marinette felt a sense of familiarity. She remembered the warmth.

She remembered the smell. She remembered the way his hands would be wrapped around her waist. She remembered how it felt to be in his embrace.

"A-adrien?", She whispered. He broke the hug but still held her waist. "Yes?", He asked. "I love you", she said as she placed her hands on his face.

She caressed his cheek and he smiled. "I love you to", Marinette hugged him tightly. She then kissed him softly.

(Out of her brain)

Adrien gasped. He looked at marinette. She was smiling in her sleep. Adrien smiled softly.

After a while of snooping around in Marinette's brain the doctor finally found out what caused her amnesia. And he told them she would be able to leave the hospital in a couple of days.

Marinette's lost of memory wasn't fatal. The doctor told them she would regain her memory back if she was around surroundings that was familiar to her.

They all agreed when she came out they would make sure she regained her memories back.
