Part 5 Life, Victory, and Other Reasons I'm Happy

V: Oh! Thanks. (She hands him his hoodie.)

(He blushes.)

V: I, um, I came to tell you something. Something that I didn't want to wait for.

Coral: Yeah? (He puts a hand on the back of his neck.)

V: Well, you see- heh, I don't even know where to start. When we first met each other in the library, I- I started to feel something that I had never felt before. And I wanted to deny that it was there, I wanted to deny that it wasn't affecting the way I was thinking, but I just couldn't do it. (He speaks.)

V: You started to be on my mind. All the time. Every moment of the day. I wanted to be with you, but I was scared to. I was scared that we couldn't be together. I mean, how could such a pure-hearted, caring, and precious singer-by-day secret-agent-by-night end up with a guy like me? I'm awkward, I'm quiet, I hid away from the world and I kept who I was a secret from you. (He's a little shaky as he holds something behind his back.)

V: But yet you still liked me. You gave me a chance. You helped me realize I don't have to hide. (Coral smiles.)

V: A-and I don't even know if I'm doing this right, but I... I'm just going to say it. Coral, I- I like you. A lot. Like... I love you. So much. You're so beautiful, lovable, and absolutely priceless. (They step closer.)

V: I don't deserve you. But every day, I love you more and more. I can't deny it any longer. I- I- I can't hide it. I don't want to. Coral, I'm in love with you. (He pulls a camellia out from behind his back, Coral's a little surprised.)

(Coral puts her hands on his hands and around the camellia.)

Coral: A camellia... did you know they symbolize purity and faithful love? (She holds the flower with a small smile. She looks like she's trying to hold back a bigger smile, though.)

V: N-no... I just thought it looked pretty. And I thought that you might like it. And- (Coral puts the flower behind her ear before holding his hands again.)

(She stands on her tiptoes.)

(She gives him a small kiss, to his surprise.)

V: You... you kissed me?

Coral: Yes. (They slightly pull back.)

Coral: Now, how much more are you going to talk before you realize that I love you, too, V? (She smiles widely.)

(V smiles, still a little surprised.)

(They kiss each other, a bit longer this time.)

Coral: Wow... I never knew how good that would feel!

V: Hmmm, same here. I feel so lucky to have met you, Ms. Coral Reeves. (They pull back.)

Coral: Aww, me too! Now, are you wanting to do that date we were going to have last night? I was looking forward to it.

V: Y-yeah! Yeah, that sounds great! (They look excited.)

V: Do you know where you would like to go?

Coral: Mmm... nope! I just wanna spend some time with you.

V: Alright. We can do that! (They both walk down the fire escape, holding hands.)

(Brooke watches them leave.)

(The two run off into the city, laughing and smiling. Brooke watches them go from the roof.)

Brooke: *sigh* [thought] They really do make a cute couple. (She looks down and smiles.)

(She pauses.)

Brooke: I'm so happy for you, Beanie. And I'm proud of you. (She looks up at the sky.)

Brooke: I hope this is the start of your "happily ever after". (The sun sets and th evening turns to night.)

Micki: How's your eye doing, Nicki?

Nicki: It hurts. You should've been there to keep this from happening.

Micki: Oh, sorry. (Meanwhile, Micki and Nicki travel in the dark.)

Micki: But you gotta cut me some slack, Nicki! ◉‸◉ I was far away at the time, and you were the one to walk right up to Echo while she was still crazy!

Nicki: Just shut up. I'm not in the mood for this. (They walk around the base of a mountain. Nicki leads. She has a bandage over her eye.)

Nariko: Nicki, honey, you really need to be nicer to your sister.

Nicki:! (Nicki stops, surprised.)

Micki: Nariko-san! It's you! It's been FOREVER since I've seen you!

Nariko: Micki, sweetie, it's good to see you again! [muttered] And slightly good to see your sister. (Nariko walks toward them, happy to see at least Micki.)

Nicki: *sigh* She's my HALF-sister, Doctor.

Nariko: Half-sister or full-sister, you need to be nicer. Not everything can be her fault, you know. (Nicki rolls her eye that isn't bandaged.)

Micki: Finally, someone who realizes this! ¯\(≧∇≦)/¯

Nicki: [thought] Except all of this IS her fault. We would've won without her. (Micki looks happy, but Nicki is mad.)

Micki: So, what are you doing all the way out here?

Nariko: I'm here for the same reason you're here. (They talk.)

Nariko: You're here to join up with everyone at our base, aren't you? (Nariko grins.)

Micki: Yep! I'm glad you'll be with us! ヾ(⌐■◡■)ノ♪ It just hasn't been any fun without you! But we're also ready for duty! (Micki eagerly replies.)

Nariko: Good. I hoped that you'd be here to help out. Do you girls think you can help me unpack? (Nariko turns away.)

Micki: Of course we can!

Nicki: Yeah, whatever.

Nariko: Thanks. I would've had a hard time managing all my... cargo... on my own. (They walk to a truck with a covered trunk.)

Micki: What kind of cargo?

Nariko: You'll see. (Nariko opens the trunk.)

Nicki: Whoa, are those-

Nariko: They sure are. (Nicki's surprised.)

(Agents 3, 4, and 8 are all inside the trunk, each in seperate glass cases. They glance up at Nariko.)

Micki: ?~ v( ◕o◕ )ﾌ What exactly are we doing with them?

Nariko: They're important for something going on at "The Base". (Micki looks slightly worried as

she makes eye contact with 4 at the side of the truck.)

Nariko: And don't you worry about it, Micki... (Nariko moves away.)

Nariko/???: You're going to LOVE it. (The top half of Nariko's face is shadowed as she smiles and looks down.)

Nariko/???: Kjahftbn, tfbbcn, lpi yqbhssw wpg nm icumms. Rwp zvgm jz pmsomm, ovh gwo pmsomm rocnoc. Ofqtcnr j vtdz nmfxiyl xcg! Rpfu fxuzzcsk... bcvt khzgq jg wqbvuoe iiq qshxgr bfx uvqf tkwh bosl iiq askwzf! Ocp pvif tnv rvuv mpz ybgm jjbl! Ham mrbz zihr xwet avooett ofubv! (Her eyes can't be seen.)
