You had slept with Infernier, Scorch and Sear the farthest away from the mountain, near the beach. Singetails didn't quite like volcanoes and they were typically born with that trait.
You were in what they called the "clubhouse" which is where your dragons were currently eating Ice-Tailed Pike while you were eating Yak, something you haven't had in a long time.
"Scorch, Sear? Ready to train for today?" You asked
Scorch and Sear went up beside you and roared as a way of saying they were ready, the others were ready too.
"I thought that we could start with some of the basics, although differently. Teach them how to cover their blindspots." Fishlegs explained
"Sounds good, then?" Astrid asked
"After we'll use Infernier and Y/N to teach them how to aim correctly, get an accurate shot on a moving target." Hiccup informed
"And then me and Hooky can teach them how to destroy!" Snotlout suggested
"Yeah!" Tuffnut exclaimed
"I totally agree!" Ruffnut added
"No Snotlout, Ruff and Tuff. You guys can teach the two how to fight against multiple targets." Hiccup said
"I'll be teaching them combat that doesn't include firepower, right?" Astrid questioned
"Exactly." Fishlegs smiled
Meatlug roared at Sear and Scorch whom roared back happily.
"Let's get to it!" Hiccup said
"Come on you two!" You called
Sear and Scorch ran towards you and Infernier before taking off to catch up with you and the gang since they were already flying into the woods towards where they'd start training.
Fishlegs and Hiccup were training them first, covering blindspots.
You watched as Sear and Scorch stared at the boar that was being held back by Snotlout, it seemed pretty aggressive.
"Okay you two, you both know your capabilities. Fire can come out from three places, the mouth, gills and tail. You'll use that to stop that boar from sneaking up on you. Sear is up first." Hiccup stated
Toothless roared at Snotlout to let the boar go and it was coming at Sear.
Her eyes rolled back before she quickly lashed her tail and shot multiple blasts from it before turning and shooting one from her mouth.
"This may be easier than I thought." Hiccup shrugged
The boar ran off into the woods and Sear came running towards you and in reward she got a fish.
"Okay Scorch, this time you can't use fire and it's coming from behind. How do you stop the attack?" Fishlegs asked
The boar was let go and it was coming at Scorch top speed, she rolled her eyes back in front of her head before acting.
She used her tail to swap it away before flapping both wings to purposely push it over using the wind it created, the boar went of squealing.
"This was easy, we'll see how you do with accuracy against a moving target. Y/N and Infernier?" Hiccup said
Meatlug roared happily before running over to the sidelines, you and Infernier took off before Astrid pushed Snotlout, Tuffnut and Ruffnut over. Sear and Scorch got into the air quickly.
"See those shields you two? You need to hit them, me and Infernier will demonstrate." You said
You'd be going for Snotlout first using the tail.
"Time it just right!" You shouted
Infernier glided towards him as he moved around, you began to study his moving patterns.
"Okay Infernier! Fire!" You ordered
The shield was hit perfectly meaning it would be Sear and Scorch's turn.
Scorch went first, upon getting her eyes on Snotlout she flew over and corrected her tail several times before firing. She got it first try, Sear was up next.
You clapped for her before watching Sear with Infernier and Scorch.
Sear attempted to do it correctly but he moved and she totally missed it.
"Try to study his movements first! Get a pattern and then blast!" You suggested
Sear tried once more and after a while of watching she swooped back around and hit the shield using his tail.
"Now it's time to use your gills, Infernier?" You said
Infernier went back around towards Ruffnut in the middle, Ruffnut was moving with the shield over her head.
"Now Infernier!" You exclaimed
Infernier blasted from his gills and made a shot, a little sloppy but it was good enough if faced with a real hunter.
"Your turn Sear!" You said
Sear timed it correctly and made the shot not too long after, she got a hit and although it was a little off she still passed. She swooped back around to let Scorch have a go.
"Okay Scorch!" You exclaimed
Scorch stared at Ruffnut whom kept moving, she made the shot but it was way too early.
"Try to get it correctly, timing is all that matters in this situation! Speed is something to think about last!" You exclaimed
Scorch tried again and upon swooping back around she had lowered herself and sent flames from her gills, it wasn't all too perfect but it still hit the shield.
"Now to use your mouth, it'll be pretty easy but keep watching." You said
Infernier flew over Tuffnut and blasted, not on your command since you were pretty confident he could do it. He made the shot perfectly.
"Your turn Scorch!" You exclaimed
Scorch waited for you to get back and went on top of him before blasting while looking down, perfect shot as expected.
"Sear!" You called
Sear flew over and made the shot soon after, perfect.
"Great! Astrid and Stormfly will be taking over now." You informed
Both dragons landed and so did you and Infernier on the sidelines.
"I hate these boars!" Snotlout complained
"Hey!" Both the twins said
They were carrying boars, Sear and Scorch were in the middle.
"Sometimes Stormfly can't blast or use spines, so in situations like that you need to learn to use combat. You're gonna need to figure out how to make all ten boars run off, go!" Astrid yelled
The boars came at them from behind, in front and on the sides.
You watched as both dragons used other assets.
Scorch used her tail to trip a three boars and used the same wing technique while Sear used her wings to throw three boars away. The two rammed their heads into the side of two boars before ramming them up against another boar and throwing them away.
"That was great!" You exclaimed
"Wonderful for dragons of your age!" Fishlegs smiled
"You guys did pretty good!" Astrid said
"I think they're prepared." Hiccup declared
"If I get to stop holding these than I do too." Snotlout stated
"Mhm! Totally!" Ruffnut replied
"Definitely!" Tuffnut added
Infernier roared in approval followed by Meatlug, Toothless, Hookfang, Barf and Belch.
