Night's POV:

FROM WHAT I could remember, my memory or past self knows something about this story. From what I could remember, I am the Nightmare of this story or specifically the bad person in this universe that gets bullied by bunch of idiots. I taught Dream not to trust any stranger that comes near the tree, especially if we are both alone. A group or possibly a clan of people will come to the tree to ask for directions to set their camp and will soon evolve into the village, the people that will hurt me and Dream. "Brother, if I think I can trust them.." "You'll tell me Dream." I answered with ease, my brother plopping down beside me to read what I was reading. A book between two brothers and a girl who was forced to be a thief and an unfair world where silvers are royals and reds are... What you can call weaklings or people low than silvers. This is a story between Maven, Tiberias Calore and Mare Barrow. I'm in the final book also known by the title of War Storm, I'm glad I can visit nearby towns just for this lovely book. "I could kill you right now, Red." Dream muttered, trying to voice Maven Calore. "Funny, you had that chance for six long months." I mumbled softly, catching Dream's attention then trying to stifle a laugh. "What's funny?" "The fact that you sounded so tough-" He giggles and I pouted, averting my gaze as I saw the sun going down the mountains. I grinned whilst my brother kept on giggling and mocking my accent, I wish this could go on forever but we have to train especially when we meet bad guys. I closed the book and looked back to my brother, the skeleton wiping away small bubbles of tears forming on the bottom of his sockets.

"It's about time we train, you can summon your staff and bow right?" I asked the skeleton, he nodded in agreement as he showed his palms, a white light slowly forming a longbow. An elegant style but it looks like it's made from the 1900s to be honest, it looks quite interesting in all honesty. "What should we use as a training dummy, brother?" He asks me as I stiffened hard, I completely forgot about that! I quickly search the ground and found an apple, it looks like it's been there for a long time. "Perhaps this apple?" I ask Dream, who looks confused. I gestured at the apple as the training dummy, and he immediately approved as he took my hand and positioned me, my back facing the tree. Dream took the apple away from my hand as he placed it on top of my head, he slowly backs away as he grabs an arrow from his back. I was nervous and stiff, I wonder if Dream will shoot my forehead or will he shoot any part of my body if he manages to actually shoot- let's stay positive - I breathed in deeply and nodded slightly, Dream now stretching the string and as his fingers let go of the string the arrow was flying. I closed my eyes, wishing that the arrow would hit the apple.. THWOK! I opened one eye sockets as Dream hurriedly ran over me, as I slowly regain my composure and uneasiness. "Brother, I did it!" He cheerfully announces as he takes away the apple with an arrow impaled into it and showed it to me. "Heh. It scared the heck outta ya." Corrupt teases as I avert my gaze whilst pouting, feeling embarrassed about it.

Dream seems to have noticed and asked, "What's wrong brother?" "Oh, haha! Nothing, nothing yes.." I mutter fast, Dream only nodded as the sun went down the crescent moon went up. "We should train more!-" "Dream, it's too late.." I reminded the skeleton whom now pouted whilst doing the puppy eyes at me, before I finally gave in. "FINE! But this time I'll teach you about stuff." I plopped down, my back still resting behind the tree. My brother still eager to learn, he sat down next to me on the soft grass. "So, what is it?!" He really is eager to learn hm? I guess I have a few tricks up my sleeves, I hope these tips really stuck in his head. "First is about strangers, especially if they're monsters or humans." I began, Dream raised a bone brow as I sigh, I expected this as well. "The whole thing is that, whenever I visit towns there are some bad guys that can't be trusted." His face was completely serious, still looking at my face for lies. He just sighs in defeat and nods whilst smiling. "There are some good people in a bad environment, thus by time they get corrupted and they turn bad as well. It's that cycle of corruption y'know." I continue to explain everything as the skeleton was so shocked and confused but proceeds to ask me questions like what if humans or monsters came here to take shelter, do we kick them out or not? Speaking my opinion yes we kick them out and let them find a place to stay. People are greedy whenever it comes to the tree of feelings. "Oh.. no wonder they're not easily trusted, you're so smart brother!" He praises me which I sighed and moved my head sideways.

"This is just normal thinking if you are somewhere you don't know." I replied at the skeleton, his face filled with ease. He rests his skull on my lap as I rest on the tree branch. "G'night brother.." "Night to you too Dream." With that, he was fast asleep. I couldn't fall asleep without questions lingering my mind, causing a ruckus in my head. "Y'know if you do that, Dream has a possibility to wake up." Corrupt repeated, I sighed deeply in stress. "I don't know if the humans will come soon." "Give it like, a single day." And that is where I was stunned at. "What?" "The humans and monsters will come soon, I sent you where two days before the DreamTale starts." Corrupt explained, bringing me in my thoughts once more. It's good I already told Dream what to do this day but I suppose I have to wake him up early to teach him more about humans and monsters. I frown as I grit my teeth against each other, those damned pathet- "Y/n. Deep breaths, you're gonna wake Dream." Corrupt reminded me once more, as I clear the negative thoughts against me as I shift my pupils at the moon. Small yet it emits light, I wonder how it could be so determined to light up in the middle of night. Could it possibly be looking for answers so that's why? "Or maybe because it's in your situation." The gooey skeleton added, my pupils shifted to the ghostly figure dripping in goop. Who knew that embodiment of Negativity could feel such pity to me? There's just so many questions left unanswered to me, so many I lost count. "Ugh.. this is tiring." "I'd suggest to rest, I'll wake you up."

"..iot."

"..ake up."

"WAKE UP IDIOT!!!"

I jolted up, almost tripping against the heavy body lumped on my lap. Oh holy heavens, I've woken Dream. He groaned and got up, his starry-eyed pupils brightened when he first saw me. "Well.. *yawn* morning brother..." "Morning Dream.. *yawn*" The early sun greets us as we pass the time by simply continuing my lecture, and teaching him the ways of his staff. We also sparred using our weapons, mine was a sword and his a bow. We had so much fun before we heard footsteps. "Dream, you hear that?" "Yep." I immediately ran to the source of the crunching grass as a few groups of humans and monsters came running on the hill, both groups were surprised and were shocked. "State who you are, what are you doing here." I threatened whilst holding the sword on my grasps, never intending to let go. Dream got an arrow out and stuck it on the string of the bow, glaring at the intruders. "W-woah.. we were looking for a place to stay for the night and we thought of-" "The tree isn't a resting place. Who knows what you can steal here?" "You guys can camp either down the hill or maybe somewhere far away." Dream suggested, the others were trembling as they chose to camp down the hill and the others followed their leader down the hill.
