Part 3 - The Truth, Crushes, and Other Things that are Scary

V: I've seen so many of the Sanitized for the last few months that I've been trying to find a cure for it. So far, I've got nothing. But maybe some of these will work with a few alterations. (He picks up one of the tubes.)

Coral: I like this idea! What do you guys think?

Pearl: Yeah!

Captain: If it will help my granddaughters, I think we should try. (They all nod.)

V: Well, to get everything right, I'm going to need some supplies and a bit of the ooze to test it on. Do you have anything I could use? (He speaks.)

Pearl: Yeah, some supplies are just in storage. I'll go get some. Yo, Em, you wanna come help me look?

Emerald: Sure!

Captain: Oh, Pearl, don't forget the key. (They walk off.)

Brooke: I'll go and get some of the ooze. It shouldn't be too hard to find. (She leaves.)

Coral: Okay, it looks like things are going well! We'll find a cure for everyone in no time!

V: Yeah! Maybe! (Coral looks happy. Rosie stands beside them.)

Rosie: Is it gonna help Echo?

V: Who? (V looks down at Rosie.)

Coral: Oh, Echo's another one of the agents, and she's Rosie's big sister. She actually takes care of her. But Echo was caught last night.

V: Oh. (She leans over to talk to V.)

V: Hey, your sister's going to be fine. As soon as we find a cure, we'll get her back. I promise.

Rosie: But- but- (V kneels down to be at Rosie's level. Rosie looks down.)

Rosie: But what if she doesn' come back?! What if I don' see her again?! (Rosie tears up.)

Coral: You'll see her again, Rosie. We'll save Echo!

V: She's right. It won't be long before Echo's back. (Coral and V smile at her.)

(Rosie gets really close to crying.)

Rosie: But I miss her! I miss Echo! I want her to come home now! (She starts crying.)

Rosie: *sniff* *sniffle* I want Echo... *sob* (Coral and V glance at each other.)

Rosie: Hug?

Coral: Oh, Rosie, come here. (Coral also gets down.)

Rosie: *sob* *sob* (Coral gives Rosie a hug. Rosie still cries a bit.)

Rosie: *sniffle* (Coral and V glance at each other. V gives a sort of sad smile.)

Rosie: Th-thanks. I like your hugs.

Coral: Of course.

V: Hm? (Rosie lets go, looks up at Coral, and sits in her lap. Coral looks down at Rosie and smiles. Something catches V's eye.)

V: Hey, what's this? Did you drop it, Rosie? (He reaches for a charm from Echo's necklace, which is lying on the ground.)

Rosie: Oh... yeah. That's one of the things Echo puts on her necklace. I made it! (V hands the charm to Rosie.)

Rosie: Her necklace broke when the green girl was bein' mean to her. But I saved a charm! (She looks down at the charm.)

Rosie: But the others are gone! We lost all the others! And Echo loves the necklace! I don' want her to be sad that it broke! (She starts to get upset again.)

Coral: She won't be very upset, Rosie. She'll just be happy to see that you're okay. And you saved an important charm! I know she'll be happy about that!
