Part 3 - The Truth, Crushes, and Other Things that are Scary

V: I didn't think you would find out. (He turns his head away, she gets a little closer.)

Sound effect: WHAM!

Brooke: So you deliberately hid this from me?! From Coral?! You don't deserve love from my little sister! (She roughly punches V.)

(Brooke spots her gun at the side.)

V: *gasp* (He notices her looking at the gun.)

Pearl: [whispered] Oh, no. [spoken] Brooke! Stop! You can't kill him! Let V go! (She tries to get up and desperately calls.)

Brooke: No! I have to do this! It's for Coral's safety! And for Inkopolis! I won't let him rule the Octarians and then destroy us! (She turns and yells angrily.)

(Brooke grabs her gun.)

V: Nnnngh... (Brooke jams her gun right beneath V's face. He winces.)

Brooke: Yeah, it's for the best. (She looks a bit hesitant now, but still holds her gun at V.)

Sound effect 1: BANG!

Brooke: Agggghhh!

Sound effect 2: Thud (Brooke is suddenly hit by someone else.)

(V is still bracing for a blow.)

V: H-huh? (He opens his eyes, a bit confused.)

(He notices Brooke lying beside him, unconscious. She faces him.)

V: Yaaaaa! What the- how did- w-what? (He backs away, startled.)

V: [thought] Wait, she's unconscious. Is she okay? (He inches back towards Brooke.)

V: Pearl?! Pearl, did you do this? (He looks up and calls.)

V:* (Similar shot. He looks surprised.)

Pearl: Nnnnmmf... Rrrhrrmm... Hffgh! (Sanitized Marina has a hand over Pearl's mouth and holds her back. A few other sanitized agents are with her and Sanitized Kiku holds her gun out, which has some drops of ooze leaking out of the front. Pearl looks alarmed.)

V: [thought] The other agents! What are they doing here? And where's- (He gets up and thinks. Micki's above him on a bookshelf.)

Micki: Haaiiii!

V:! (Micki jumps down behind V. He's surprised.)

V: Micki! (He whirls around, surprised.)

Micki: Yup, that's me! (づ｡◕‿◕｡)づ It's nice to see you again, V! Really, it is! How are you? (She smiles. Not like an evil smile, but a truly happy smile.)

V: Uh, I-I'm fine. Did you do this? Did you shoot Brooke?

Micki: Well, duh! (He looks away and kneels by Brooke.)

Micki: Okay well, technically, I didn't. I made one of the soldiers do it, but don't worry! She's just knocked out! I wasn't actually going to kill her! (She speaks.)

Micki: I mean, that crazy girl was about to kill you! I couldn't let that happen to you, so I saved you! I thought you would be a lot happier!

V: Hm. (V puts one of Brooke's arms around his shoulder and starts to get up.)

V: Well, thanks for saving me, but I'm sure Brooke wouldn't have pulled the trigger.

Micki: She would've!

V: Whatever. Now can you let Pearl go? (V starts walking away.)

Micki: I mean, I usually would, but I want to make Nicki happy, so I think I should bring all of you in! No hard feelings, it's not like I want to do this, but- (Micki is energetic and goes to V.)
