Part 3 - The Truth, Crushes, and Other Things that are Scary

Pearl: Half after seven. Let's get you to the Square! (Brooke approaches in the shadows.)

V: I can't wait! Coral and I can finally have a normal night to ourselves!

Pearl: Yeah, it'll be great! (They start to walk out. V is happy.)

Pearl: Oh, real quick... (She grabs something from a purse.)

Sound effect: Pst!

V: What- hey! What are you doing? (She sprays something near his face.)

Pearl: Just putting a little bit of cologne on you. You're gonna be IRRESISTIBLE!

V: You carry around cologne?

Pearl: Yeah. You don't? (Pearl grins.)

V: No, I can't say that I do. (Brooke walks in, hand on her gun.)

Pearl: Huh? Oh, hey, Brooke! Whatcha doing here?

V:! (They notice Brooke, and Brooke stares back. V is startled.)

(Brooke glares.)

V: Uh, are you okay? Is- is something wrong? (He looks uneasy.)

(She starts to draw her weapon.)

V: Ack!

Pearl:! (Brooke rushes after V, surprising V and Pearl.)

V: Gah! (Brooke shoots at V and hits him once on the shoulder. He winces.)

Pearl: Yo, Brooke! What's WRONG with you?! Stop it!

Brooke: No! Get off of me! (Pearl grabs onto Brooke. Brooke tries to knock Pearl off.)

Sound effect 1: Fwip!

Sound effect 2: Thud

Pearl: Agh! (Brooke spins Pearl off of her, and she roughly lands in ink that Brooke left.)

Pearl: [whispered] Ugh, shrimp. [yelled] Brooke, you gotta stop now! (She struggles to free herself.)

(Brooke turns angrily around.)

(V looks a little frightened.)

(Brooke rushes toward V as she fires.)

V: Whoa! (V avoids Brooke's shots.)

Brooke: Stop running and fight me! (She shouts.)

V: Wait, what? No! I'm not going to fight you! I don't know what's wrong, but I don't want to fight you! Seriously!

Brooke: IDIOT!!! (V backs up and Brooke goes after him.)

Sound effect: Whump! (Brooke tackles V.)

Brooke: *huff* *huff* *huff* (She's on top of V, leaning over. She holds onto his wrists. She still looks angry and V's startled.)

Brooke: You... you stay away from Coral. I know you're trying to hurt her in one way or another. As long as I'm still around to keep an eye on you, you're NEVER going to hurt her. Never! And if you even try, I'll kill you! (She's enraged.)

V: What are you talking about? Coral's my friend! I'm not trying to hurt her or anything!

Brooke: LIAR! (She still has V pinned down.)

Brooke: I have to admit, you're a good actor. But you can't hide your real motives from me. I know what you're trying to do. You're the future king of our enemies, after all. You don't think that I'll let you even see Coral after I found that out, do you?

V: I- (He struggles to get up.)

V: I didn't think-

Brooke: What? You didn't think what?!
