Part 3 - The Truth, Crushes, and Other Things that are Scary

V: Um, Coral?

Coral: Hm?

V: Since we're not doing anything, do you wanna, I don't know...

Coral: Yeah? (They talk.)

V: Do you... maybe want to go out? Like, just the two of us? To get to know each other better? I guess... a uh-

Coral: A date?

V: Yeah! A date. (He slightly tenses up.)

Coral: Really? Yeah, that would be great! Do you wanna go now? (Coral smiles to V's surprise.)

Sound effect: [whispered] bloop bloop

V: Wait, you actually want to?

Coral: Sure! It would be fun!

V: [thought] Oh, wow, she actually said yes! [spoken] Is there any place you'd like to go? (They're unaware that the liquid they were experimenting on is bubbling.)

Coral: Well, I- Wait, what's that?

V: Huh? (They both slightly turn.)

Coral and V:! (They see the ooze, which is bubbling even more.)

Sound effect: BOOOM!

V: Look out! (He shoves her down as the ooze explodes.)

Coral: *huff* *huff* (She catches her breath.)

Coral: Well, I guess that DEFINITELY wasn't the cure for the Sanitized, huh? It made the ooze explode! (She starts to get up.)

V: Ow... yeah, I guess not. (He also starts to get up and has one hand on his shoulder. He doesn't realize it, but there is a little bit of the ooze on his hoodie.)

Coral: *gasp* V, some of the ooze got on your hoodie!

V: Ack! (She points and he starts to take the hoodie off. The ooze is spreading.)

V: Okay, got it. I don't think there's any on me. (He throws the hoodie to the side.)

Coral: Are- are you okay?

V: Yeah, I think I'm fine. (She approaches from behind, he has a hand over his face.)

Coral: Oh, your face! If you don't want me to see your face, I can go find a mask or a hoodie or something.

V: No... (She starts to turn back.)

Coral: Huh?

V: [thought] Ugh, what are you doing? She can't see your face! It's a terrible idea; just get another jacket. (He still tries to cover the top half of his face.)

V: [thought] But I can't keep hiding this. I've got to tell her at some point, might as well do it now. This isn't the way I wanted to do this, but I need to. (He looks very anxious.)

V: Coral, I should probably tell you the truth. (He starts to get up, mostly shadowed and still covering his face slightly. Coral looks confused.)

V: I need to show you who I am. (He turns around. The green "X" tattoo- Octavio's signet- is very visible above his left eye.)

(Coral looks shocked.)

Pearl: Brooke, yo Brooke, slow down! You should think this through a little more!

Brooke: I have thought this through! Coral shouldn't be with V. It was bad enough when I was able to stay with her, but now she's doing this? (They walk through the canyon.)

Pearl: Just don't be too mad at them. It's not like they've done anything wrong. You're just being-

Brooke: Being what? (Pearl tries to keep up..)
