Part 3 - The Truth, Crushes, and Other Things that are Scary

V: Okay, hey, everyone will be fine. We can work with this. Tell you what, I know that this isn't going to work unless you and the others help me speed things along. So, as long as you promise to get some rest during the day and don't overwork yourself, you can come back to help me in the night.

Coral: Really? Y-yeah, that would be cool! Just don't tell Brooke about this.

V: Okay, I won't. (Coral is calmed down.)

V: Okay, so it's a deal?

Coral: Yep. It's a deal! (They shake hands.)

Coral: I'll see you later, V! Tomorrow night, I expect some science and that a-moose-stick guitar!

V: You mean acoustic? Don't worry, I won't let you down! (They wave goodbye.)

(He watches Coral with a smile.)

V: What? (Cakepop rolls up to V with a smirk-y face.)

Cakepop: Beee-bweeep! (Its screen changes to a cute heart design.)

V: Oh, stop it!

Cakepop: Bwee- bwee- bwee! (V nudges the robot and it has a laughing face.)

The Next Morning...

(A few seagulls mind their business outside Pearl's mansion.)

Pearl: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING AGENTS!!! (The seagulls are startled and fly off.)

Brooke: Ugh, is that seriously the way she's going to tell us to wake up?

Coral: Mmmhhhhh... I hope not.

Brooke: If that is, I'm quitting being an agent and I'm joining the bad guys. It'll give me an excuse to damage Pearl's super vocal cords so she can't yell at us.

Coral: Oh! (They groggily come out of their rooms.)

Pearl: Hey! Hope I didn't startle you awake too bad! I didn't mean to!

Brooke: Yeah, you did.

Rosie: Yeah, she did! (Pearl approaches with Rosie and Emerald.)

Pearl: Hey, Rosie, that was supposed to be a secret!

Rosie: Sorry! (They look at each other with smiles.)

Brooke: Okay, now that we're up, we should get this show on the road. We don't have any time to waste!

Emerald: Wait up, Brooke! (Brooke walks off. Rosie and Emerald follow her.)

(Coral and Pearl follow at a distance. Coral is pretty groggy and rubs her eyes.)

Pearl: [whispered] I know you snuck out last night.

Coral: Eeeep! (Pearl whispers to Coral and she flinches in surprise.)

Coral: Wha, how did you, why, how did you know?

Pearl: My window's right above yours. I saw you sneak out. (Coral sweats and turns red.)

Coral: Oh, nooooo...

Pearl: Hey, don't worry about it, kid. I won't tell Brooke. (Pearl shrugs.)

Coral: Really?

Pearl: Nah, that would be a jerk thing for me to do. I figured you just snuck out because Brooke's being a little... overprotective right now.

Coral: Yeah, I guess you could say that. (Coral looks relieved.)
