Part 2- Green People, Old Libraries, and Other Signs of the End of the World

Brooke: Yes, that's what we told you! (Pearl is startled.)

Pearl: C'mon, this way! (Pearl runs. Everyone follows.)

Coral: Okay, what do we do?

Pearl: We make up a plan as we go! (They run into a room.)

Brooke: Really? That's the best you can do?

Pearl: Well, sorry! I woke up just a few minutes ago, so no yelling at me!

Brooke: Just come up with a plan, please, because you're the only one who knows anything about these things! (They slam the door shut.)

Coral: Hey, guys! We could use this to escape! (They glance up.)

Brooke: Oh. That'll work. (Coral motions towards a nice car on display.)

Pearl: That's just a display car! If it has any power, it won't get us far.

Coral: Then let's use it as long as we can! (Coral hops in and Pearl is hesitant.)

Sound effect: Boom! (The doors slam open as the sanitized agents storm in.)

Pearl: Okay, okay, go! Pedal to the METAL!

Coral: Yeah! (Everyone frantically jumps in. Coral gets the car started.)

Sound effect: Vr~OOM!

Sanitized agents:! (They look up towards the car.)

Coral: Beep! Beep! (She drives in between the agents.)

Coral: Woohoo! This actually has some power to it! Now let's get outta here! (Coral drives with determination and happiness. Rosie is enjoying the ride, but everyone else is startled.)

(Marie holds her sniper gun out.)

Emerald: Uh, Marie has her gun pointed at us! (She looks back.)

Coral: Okay, I got it!

Pearl: Yaaaah! (Coral veers to the side.)

Brooke: Coral! The trees, the trees, the TREES!

Coral: I know! Just buckle up! (They head for a forest. Brooke stands up from the back seat.)

Sound effect: thwick! thwick! thwick! (Coral speeds towards the forest and runs over some branches.)

Pearl: Uh, Coral? (She looks unsure as Coral continues on her path.)

Sound effect: THUNK! Bonk! Th-thunk! Bam! (She drives into the forest, crashing into trees as she does so.)

Sound effect: Crash! Thunk! Bonk! Bam!

Coral: Woooo-HOOOOOOO!!! (She doesn't stop, even when she gets into thicker woods.)

(Marie lowers her gun.)

(The sanitized agents leave.)

Brooke: Okay, Coral! You can slow down now! They're not following us! (She shouts from the backseat.)

Sound effect: Put put put puuuut...

Pearl: Well, it's dead anyway now. (The car stops in the middle of the woods. It's scratched up.)

Coral: Ta~daa! (She happily holds her hands up.)

Pearl: Ta-da? For what? Destroying my display car?

Coral: No, for saving us! (Pearl gets out.)

Brooke: And were you trying to hit every tree in the forest? Because I think you missed a tree. (She points back at a tree somehow standing upright in a path of destroyed trees.)
