Technical Difficulties (A Splatoon Script)

Part 2- Green People, Old Libraries, and Other Signs of the End of the World

(Their hands start turning green.)

Brooke: The bombs are starting to go off!

Coral: Is everyone out?

Brooke: Everyone but us! Let's get to the garage. (They're in an empty hall.)

Emerald: But what about Juliuz and Echo?

Coral: I'm sorry, Em, but we can't go back for them. The path is blocked with all the slime. (They head into the garage.)

Coral: Oh! (She stops, surprised.)

(Callie stands alone by the cars. She's upset.)

Coral: Cal? What happened?

Callie: They got Marina and Marie! And now Kiku and Kiyoshi aren't showing up! I was sure they would be the first ones here! (They come up to Callie.)

Brooke: If they're not here, they've probably gone green or whatever. But we can't go back. We need to get out of here. These are Marina's, right? (Brooke comes up to three motorcycles.)

Callie: Yeah, why?

Brooke: Put a helmet on. I'll hotwire them so we can get them running. (She tosses a helmet to Coral and Callie.)

Coral: But those are Marina's!

Brooke: Well, she isn't here to use them, now is she? And we're probably going to need them. Just hold on, it'll only take me a minute to hotwire these. (Brooke kneels by a motorcycle. Coral is behind her.)

Callie: Wait, since when do you know how to hotwire stuff?

Brooke: Oh, a while. You'd be surprised. (Callie's confused and surprised.)

Nicki: Hm... is this it? (Shift of POV as Nicki looks at the agents that have been sanitized. They all have muzzles on now.)

Micki: Not yet! There's still Brooke, Callie, and Pearl! Oh yeah, and that Coral girl!

Nicki: Yeah, Callie slipped away. And I'm not surprised about Pearl. She lives somewhere else. But I'm sure that some of these new soldiers can lead us to the other agents. (They talk.)

Nicki: Okay, soldiers, first thing to do. I know that you probably set up a meeting point right before you split up. Can you show me where that is? (She talks to the sanitized agents.)

Nicki: Oh, this is too easy! (She follows the sanitized agents.)

Rosie: Where are we gonna go?

Coral: Somewhere far, hopefully. We just have to get some space between us and... whoever's attacking us. (Shift POV again. Coral helps Rosie put a helmet on.)

Callie: Their names are Micki and Nicki. I heard one of them mention it when I ran here. (Nicki and the Sanitized agents hide behind the door to the garage, weapons out. Callie's facing the door.)

(Nicki steps into the doorway with her gun raised.)

Callie: ! (She spots her.)

Sound effect: Thwick!

Callie: Aggh! (Nicki fires and Callie gets hit with a needle in the chest. Callie falls.)

Coral: Callie!

Callie: No... please... (She runs to her as her skin starts turning green.)

Callie: R-r-run... (She glances up at Coral, her skin half-green.)

Coral: Oogh... (She looks surprised and disgusted.)

(Nicki gets ready to fire again. Brooke notices.)
