A month had passed, it was finally Christmas time. Any contact or interaction pertaining to Mason seized. It was like he completely erased from the grid.
Kay was satisfied, but he knew soon or later Mason will repair again so he decided to remain on his toes not getting to relaxed.
Mariah didn't know that what happened was Kay's doing, the police told her it was rival gang activity and she believed them knowing her cousin's dealings.
Currently, Mariah and Dess was walking around the mall doing some last minute Christmas shopping.
"So you really flying that light bright nigga out?" Dess exclaims before sipping her smoothie.
"Not too much on my man, but yeah he deserves it."
"Mhm, could never be me!"
Mariah laughs, "Girl please, stop denying you and Dougie."
Rolling her eyes, Dess replied "I ain't denying nothing, shit I don't even know who you talking about."

"I'm being so serious, nigga kept playing with me now I gotta ghost em like I don't know him." Dess shrugged as they headed into Zara.
"Want me to beat him up?" Mariah says picking up a pair of mom jeans.
"Girl don't even bother, a nigga gonna do right if he really wants to."
"Amen!" Some lady passes saying making them both laugh.
After Zara, they went to a couple stores before calling it a day. Once settled in the car, Mariah states, "I ain't spend this much money for Christmas gifts in so long."
"No, deadass."
"I'm gonna go home wrap these gifts and then imma head to Kay cause we having a lil matching pajamas and Christmas movies night." Mariah smiles thinking of him in the onesie she bought, he's gonna be so mad.
