Part 1 - Guys, Get-Togethers, and Other Bad Ideas

Echo: Hey! Hahaha! (They talk.)

Brooke: No, no, no. KIYOSHI is cute because he's sweet, innocent, and basically less than a year old. JULIUZ isn't. Juliuz is just... Juliuz. You seriously like him, Echo? (Coral glances at Brooke a bit disapprovingly, but tries to hide it.)

Echo: I do! I really do! Maybe we had a rough start, but Juliuz is really a nice guy now! (Echo shrugs.)

Echo: What about the rest of you? Are any of you in relationships? (She speaks to the group.)

Coral: I'm single! But ready to mingle!

Brooke: Wait, what? (Coral grins and Brooke looks surprised.)

Brooke: Since when?

Coral: Uh, I don't know. For a little while. Why? (They turn to each other.)

Brooke: Why? Why would YOU want to start dating? You're still young!

Coral: I'm not THAT young, Brooke. I'll be 18 in just a couple months. I know that plenty of people younger than me go on dates, it's not that weird.

Brooke: Trust me, Coral. You don't need to start worrying about all that... that... that boy drama stuff. You just stay my little beanie, okay? I'm not gonna let some guy ruin your life.

Coral: But-

Brooke: If you start dating, it'll happen, I promise you. Dating isn't worth it. And- (The others awkwardly watch Coral and Brooke go on.)

Brooke: * (She notices the other agents awkwardly watching them.)

Sound effect: Slrrp (The agents keep staring at them and Kiku takes a small sip of her drink.)

Brooke: I mean, c'mon, most guys are idiots, anyway. Who would want to date an idiot? Ha... haha... ha? (She looks back at them with a panicked smile.)

Pearl: [whispered] Yo, did she just go through a breakup or something? 'Cause that was weird.

Marina: [whispered] Shh! (Pearl whispers to Marina, but Marina shushes her.)

Kiku: Okie, enough talk about boys! I don't get 'em! Do any of you want food, because I'm starvin'! (She looks as if she's purposely changing the subject.)

Assorted: Yeah, yes, totally, yep, good idea. (Everyone agrees. Brooke stays silent.)

(The group eat, talk, laugh, and enjoy themselves. But Brooke doesn't say much and hardly touches her food.)

Brooke:! (She looks down at her phone and realize that it's time for the two of them to go.)

(Coral and Brooke wave as they leave. It's obvious that Brooke has a false smile.)

(The sisters walk through the snow.)

Coral: Well, we were sure awkward in there.

Brooke: Were we that bad?

Coral: Yep. Everyone noticed. Are you okay? When Echo mentioned that she was dating, you started acting weird. (Brooke looks down and has her hands shoved in her pockets while Coral looks over at Brooke.)

Brooke: Yeah. I just didn't think that Juliuz was really the right guy for Echo.

Coral: Oh, come on! You saw how Juliuz acted when we fought Octavio! You've seen how he's changed! He's a much better guy now, and Echo really likes him. She's fine. (They talk.)

Brooke: I guess. But I definitely don't think YOU'RE ready for dating.

Coral: *grumble* *grumble* Fine. (Someone watches them from on top of a building as they walk.)
