Chapter 38

*Ella’s POV*

I slowly opened my eyes. Memories of meeting Nathan flooded my mind. I realized that Nathan kidnapped me. I looked around and saw that I was in a dark room and my hands were tied behind my back. I was sitting on the chair and I was completely tied to it. I couldn’t move. Why is he doing this to me?!

Door opened and Nathan came into the room.

-         My dearest daughter-in-law finally decided to wake up. Good morning dear.

-         Why are you doing this? What did me and Jake do to you? Why can’t you let us be happy?

-         You could’ve been happy. You could’ve broken up with my son and find some other guy who would make you happy. And that friend of yours, Tyson, was a good candidate.

-         Only man I love and will ever love is Jake. It’s my decision who I love and why. You don’t have to choose it for me.

-         Think logically, dear. If you trusted me that time and actually broke up with him, none of this would ever happen. You would’ve been free right now and this talk between us would never happen.

-         Tell me why. Why did you want me and Jake to break up?

-         I don’t want that anymore. Thanks to you my whole plan is ruined.

-         What was your plan anyway?

-         I needed Jake to help me destroy Joseph, my biggest enemy. Jake’s the only one who can help me destroy him.

-         Of course. You needed him, that's why you came back in his life.

-         Exactly. Why else would I come back to him?

-         You’re a monster.

-         This is probably the last minutes of your life Ella, even if you wanted to you can’t tell anyone about this. So I’ll tell you everything.

     I was already married to Linda when I met Sarah, Jake’s mother. It wasn't the first and definitely not the last time. Linda never even thought that I could be cheating on her behind her back. She trusted me too much.
“Relationship” with Sarah lasted for months. I could tell that she was falling in love with me. I didn’t care though.

     One night she told me that she was pregnant. I got angry and left her. I didn’t care what she would do with the baby. I never cared about that stuff anyways.

     After that I continued living a normal life. I found another one and spent some months with her too. Well you don’t need to know every detail though.

     So fast forward to the day you came into our lives. To be honest I never even tried to find Hannah, it didn’t interest me. At that time, Joseph’s men were really close to finding my identity, so I had to do something about that case. I lied to Linda that I was going out to look for Hannah when in reality I was taking care of other stuff.

     By the time I was done you and Jake found Hannah. I was told that some hacker was helping you. Then I found the identity of him and got some info. Figured out he was the best hacker in the world and besides that he was my son. Exactly who I needed.
Then you and him moved into the Duskwood, I had to use this opportunity but I realized that he changed. He didn’t care about anything else other than you and he was getting soft. You were my problem.

     So I kidnapped you, trying to scare you and make you break up with him. And I have to admit, you fooled me there, at first. I really thought you two broke up and I was trying to get close to Jake but it wasn’t working.
