Always and Forever

Chapter 11

*Lilly’s POV*

It’s been a few days since Ella magically disappeared and reappeared. She did tell us that she was lost in the forest and you could kinda tell it by her dirty clothes but I still couldn’t believe it. but if Ella was lying to us, she must’ve had a good reason for it.

Richy would make me go to her everyday. He was scared that Ella could’ve been in danger. Looks like I wasn't the only one who didn’t believe Ella. Ella was always sad whenever we got to her. Something was definitely wrong. I haven’t seen Jake with her and I haven’t heard Ella saying anything about Jake. She would avoid talking about him every time I tried to ask where he was. Did they have an argument again?

I hate seeing Jake and Ella mad at each other. I couldn’t stop thinking about them. It was 7 am. I wanted to make coffee for myself because my head hurt.

As I finished drinking coffee, my phone started ringing. I looked at it and it was Ella. I answered it immediately.

-         Ella! Sweetie, is everything ok?

-         Yeah, Lilly I’m fine. I just wanted to talk to you. Can you come to my apartment please?

-         Right now?

-         Yeah, if you can.

-         Sure, no problem. I’m on my way.

I cut the call and literally ran to my bedroom to get ready. I wanted to get to Ella as soon as possible.

It took me 20 minutes to get to her. As soon as I knocked on her door she opened it. I hugged her and she hugged me back tightly.

-         Is everything alright, sweetie?

-         Yeah, I’m fine. I just wanted to talk about it to someone. I can’t keep it to myself anymore.

-         That’s ok, Ella. you can talk to me about anything.

-         Thanks Lilly – she smiled – you’re like a sister to me.

-         Aww Ella.

We hugged for a few more seconds and I could tell that Ella was trying not to cry. I’m sure something happened with Jake again. I’ll kill him one day. Why is he acting like this? They love each other so much.

Ella invited me in, I entered the apartment and she closed the door. We went to the kitchen and made breakfast. We cooked pancakes and bagels. It was amazing.

After breakfast we went to the living room and sat down on the couch. I waited for her until she found the words she was looking for.

-         Lilly, it’s… Jake… again.

-         Did you guys argue?

-         Yes.

-         What happened?
-         We were just talking and he asked me something. I didn’t answer and he just got up and left. I couldn’t stop him, I couldn’t do anything. I just sat here and watched him leave.

She put her head in her hands and started crying. I’m gonna give that guy a lesson. He can’t just break her heart every time he’s mad at her. She’s the love of his life. I understand that all this is new to him but he should understand others too.

-         Ella, sweetie, please don’t cry. He just needs time like last time. He’ll come back to you and everything will be alright.

-         I can’t just sit and wait, Lilly. Maybe he doesn’t love me anymore?
