This version of Maleficent certainly is much different from the original. We know the whole story to why she is the way she is. I can certainly sympathize with her. Having her heart broken, her wings stolen, and being the object of ransom all by the one she loved and he didn't even feel an ounce of guilt. It was all unfair to her. Her heart grew cold and she took revenge on Stephen. However, there was still goodness in her heart that Aurora awoke. She grew out of her cold and depressed self and returned to her good hearted, and caring self. She was magnificent.
