Cal is a self-centered, ignorant, forceful, jerk. He abused Rose, attempted to kill her and Jack, and acts as if he is above everyone on the ship. However, there are some positive traits. He's very handsome, has excellent taste in jewelry, sensitive towards children, and he later accepts being rejected by Rose in the end. Still, you should never be with someone who abuses you.
