TARA

I yawned for the fifth time in a few minutes. I could barely keep my head up. "I know you said early, but this is way too early." He woke me up at 4.30 am, claiming I had 30 minutes to get ready. It did explain why last night we went to sleep – literally – early without doing anything, but still.

"You can get some rest," Lukas mentioned as he started the engine, "at least half an hour."

"Where are we going?"

"Now, that is a surprise." He smirked, then sent me a side glance. "If you sleep, I won't have to blindfold you ... yet."

"That sounds kinky."

"Not in this case, but we have a whole day ahead." He winked, pulling the car out of the driveway.

"You said wear something comfortable." I argued, looking at my attire – my regular jeans with a black shirt and black boots, even my hair was tied in a ponytail and I had no makeup at all, other than my regular lip balm. Thinking back, maybe this wasn't a great choice for a date.

Lukas looked me up and down for a moment, before turning back to the road. "Well, uh ... this is your regular kind of comfortable."

I blushed a little. "Sorry, I should have put more effort into my outfit."

"What? No." He mended quickly. "No, no, I'm just saying ... it's your regular outfit, but for this particular case, maybe your-uh ... home outfit might have been better."

I barely bit back a naughty smile. "You mean nothing but panties and one of your hoodies?"

Predictably, he licked his lips, as if savoring the nice moments we had while I was wearing his clothes. At first, it wasn't voluntary, but his sweaters and hoodies, even shirts are comfortable and I like feeling on my skin a fabric I know has caressed his muscles many times. "I meant something more ... sportive."

"Wait, you're not really dragging me to the gym, are you?" I arched an eyebrow at him. "I mean, I know I need to slim down, but I'd rather go jogging or something, the gym is-"

"You don't need to slim down." Lukas stole a glance, well, pretty much took a long second to gape at me from tip to toe. "You're already sexy as hell." He pressed his lips before turning back to the road again. "You get any sexier, I might just never let you leave the bed."

I rolled my eyes, albeit slightly embarrassed – no matter what, part of me still feels awkward with being so ... sexually free. I grabbed my phone, and opened the front camera to take a look at my face. I must have been really sleepy when I got dressed, because I looked even worse than what I saw earlier.

I moved my glasses to have them rest on my head, so that I could take a better look, and sure as hell the usual bags under my eyes were there, even worse than ever, since my sleep time has been reduced even more lately. I traced them with my fingers, one eye at a time, as if stupidly trying to make them disappear.

"Don't do that." Lukas mentioned, eyes on the road.

"Do what?"

"Don't obsess over the little things."

"I'm just realizing this wasn't the right attire for the first real date with my boyfriend." I faked a chuckle to hide my true thoughts. I know he means well, but no matter how much he loves me, I'm never going to stop hating myself. In every sense. I've simply come to some sort of truce.

"Come on, you really think I care about outfits?"

"No," I pulled my glasses back onto my nose, "but I mean, a little effort wouldn't be a bad thing. It'd only balance yours."
