Jia stood looking at her reflection in the mirror. She looked different with her platinum blonde hair pulled back into a high ponytail, her long, straight hair still reaching her mid-back. When her hair was tied back, her face appeared thinner, sharper. She liked it.
Despite her calm exterior, her body was shaking on the inside. She wouldn't dare tell anyone, but she was scared.
Unlike her brother, Jia never liked violence. She believed conflict could be solved in more peaceful than violent ways. However, Hydra didn't think the same and they trained her for the opposite.
Having powers was cool and all, but not when you didn't want them. Now, she was stuck with skin as pale as snow and cold as ice to touch. At least, she was happy to say her heart remained unfrozen. For how long? She didn't want to know the answer to that question.
The girl jumped when someone knocked on the door to the guest room Tony gave her, breaking the silence and pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Come in!"
Granting permission to whoever was behind the door, it slowly opens.
Jia's eyebrows rose upon seeing who it was. "Jungkook?"
He flashed her a small smile as he held up a white suit with blue detailing. "I found this for you. I'm not sure if it'll fit, but it wouldn't hurt to try it on."
The shapeshifter walked over to her and handed her the suit. Jia inspected the suit now in her hands, letting her fingers brush over the white and blue coloured material. She couldn't stop the small smile making its way on her lips, finding it cute how he picked out a suit that matched her powers. White for snow and blue for ice.
Smiling, she looked up and met Jungkook's eyes. "Thank you, Jungkook."
The boy shrugs and puts his hands in his cargo pants pockets, rocking back and forth on his boot-covered heels. "No problem."
"Are you ready to leave?" Her blue eyes skimmed over his tight shirt and loose pants clad body that was flattering on his muscular figure. He'd changed an awful lot since she last saw him, physically and mentally.
"Yeah," he nods his head. "We're just waiting on you."
Jia laughs and shakes her head. "This is so out of character for me, usually I'm the first one ready."
Jungkook stares into her eyes for a long moment before speaking. "It's okay to be nervous. I always am before a big fight."
Jia was surprised at that. "You? Nervous? I can't picture it."
