"Call me Jeff. Jeffery is too formal." Jeff's face seemed to crinkle up with disgust at his full name.

"Oh, well, I'm Asteria Ridges, but you can call me Azzy. It's nice meeting you." I said to them as Liu sat himself down at his desk.

"You can sit on my bed if you want." Liu told me as he got onto his computer before realizing I was sitting down somewhere.

"Oh.. okay." I could feel my nerves build as I sat down on his bed and let out a breath.

Jeff looked over at me, looking up from his phone.

"You good?" He asked me with a raised brow.

"I'm fine, just a bit nervous." I answered.

Liu gave me a confused look.

"Why is that?" Liu asked.

"It's just weird being in someone else's house." I chuckled nervously.

"I can agree with that." Jeff scoffed as he turned his attention back to his phone.

I smiled a little before shaking it off and looking back at Liu.

"What are you doing?" I asked him as I looked over his shoulder.

"Trying to see what I want to get for my birthday next year. I've got nothing better to do at the moment." He shrugged.

I hummed and glanced at what he was looking at.

"Oh, new clothes?" I questioned.

Jeff looked up at Liu and me at my words.

"Really? More clothes, Liu?" He asked his brother.

"Why not? I don't really want anything else." Liu shrugged.

"I think it's nice." I commented quietly.

Jeff looked over at me and frowned a bit.

"Really?" Liu asked me as he turned to face me.

I pulled back, realizing how close I really was to him.

"Yeah, it's kind of humble." I said with a shrug.

Liu smiled at my words, happy with my answer.

"What would you want?" Jeff asked me.

I frowned. What I wanted?

"What I want, money can't buy." I said with a sad smile.

"What do you mean?" Liu asked.

"I just want my mom back but she died from cancer." I said as I shrugged one of my shoulders.

They both seemed to regret talking about it almost immediately.

"I'm so sorry.." Liu said softly.

I waved it off and gave them both a smile.

"Don't worry about it. I was like two years old, I can't remember much of her anyways. But it'd be nice to have my mom around." I told them.

"Oh.. I could drink to that." Jeff joked with a grin.

I returned his grin as my father yelled upstairs.

"Azzy! It's time to eat, bring the boys with you too!" My father yelled up the stairs.

"Oh, it's time to eat. Let's go." Liu said as he got up from his spot and walked to the door before leaving me and Jeff alone with each other.

"He's a goody two shoes, huh?" I asked Jeff as I stood up.

He chuckled and grinned.

"You know it, but let's go before my mum starts yelling." He shivered at the thought of her yelling.

"Is she really that scary?" I asked him as he got up and walked over to the door, me following behind.

"She can be." He stated before glancing at me with a smile.
