Alejandro started the car as Graves came on the walkie.

"You boys good to roll up Hassan with some fire from the sky?"

"Let's wrap this fucker up, Graves." Soap responded.

"Solid copy, we are pushing to the directly. Shadow 1 out."

-

We rolled up to the compound and got ready. Alejandro ducked behind a truck with Soap a few feet away behind some wood pallets. Ghost started to scan the area on the end of the truck Alejandro was on. I wanted to be next to Soap but there wasn't enough room with his position, so I opted to the truck behind some sandbags, with Ghost just an elbows length away.

Graves had air control and was sending in bombs to help us out as we cleared up to the compound. Soap held up the laser to mark our position.

Now all we had to do was wait.

I was crouched down on the ground, peeking through the truck windows to get a better view. I knew we'd be here for a minute until everything got set in place to move, so I shuffled my legs to where one knee was resting on the dirt. I shifted a little too far to my left and grazed Ghosts arm with my elbow.

"Do you always have to be near me?" Ghost snapped.

I was caught off guard. "Not like I had a choice."

"I think you had plenty."

I sighed and shifted my weight more to my right to avoid anymore altercations with Ghost. I didn't realize it was that big of a deal that my elbow hit him. He has a bit of a temper.

"Shadow 1, Bravo 0-7. We're marking with IR laser. Do you have a visual, over?" Ghost spoke into his walkie.

"Copy Visual" Was heard from the other end.

"Shadow 1 , be advised, Hassan is moving with an armed guard. You cover external, we'll clear the building. How copy?" I could see Ghost peering around the truck as he spoke.

"0-7 good copy. Armed guard." Graves was on the line now. "We'll secure the area so you can move in. Stand by."

"Roger that." Ghost responded and the line went silent.

We had to wait until Graves cleared the outside before we could move in, it would be impossible for us to clear the place out with people rushing from inside and out. I checked the clip in my gun and made sure my knife was secure in my pocket. It was.

"You doing okay, LT?" Soap asked.

"Yea-" I started before i realized Ghost was responding too. Should've specified which lieutenant.

I looked over to Ghost and saw him giving me his usual glare. I rolled my eyes.

"We're fine Soap, thanks. Make sure you're alright too before we head in, should be any minute now." I told him.

I peaked out the Truck window and could see all of Hassan's men in the yard, oblivious to the plane of bombs going above them.

"This is why there shouldn't be two lieutenants." Ghost muttered, i could see he was still giving me his glare when i crouched back down, I guess he never stopped. "Too much confusion."
