" you sure this looks fine? is it not too much I mean it's just a casual date" Nerita began panicking the neat jeans with a t-shirt fitted her physique perfectly light makeup and curls left unruly she paced the floor while on a call with Kira and Kirti she needed them to calm her nerves?

" you look, fine babe, you could be in your boxers and he would still think you look beautiful and it's just Kayden, you know he could not care less about your appearance man saw you pissed drunk making no sense and he still loved you so don't sweat it".

Nerita smiled in appreciation, it was time for her to leave for her date, and promised the girls that she would give them details as soon as she can saying her goodbyes she ended the call.

the butterflies in her tummy wouldn't disappear as she made her way into the arcade trying to scout out the boy she had a crush on for a very long time, making her way around beginning to panic maybe that he stood her up and changed his mind.

until she collided with a chest " now I know you enjoy my physique but princess that can wait" hearing his voice Nerita calmed down.

lifting her head she met with his playful gaze this was the guy that always protected her even though at times they never saw eye to eye he was always there for her and she could have not asked for more.

" let's begin" he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead assuring that she was safe he wanted more but knew that right now they were threading lightly. the day went by with the couple becoming competitive with each other at every game they played.

Kayden stole glances at his princess the way she smiled, her laugh, how she bit her lip when she concentrated, he knew he had made the right decision, his heart fluttered at how happy she looked no care in the world being her childish self, letting her guard down and being carefree. he remembered how nights on end he would have to see to her after she had drunk too much or when he found her in her office asleep working herself to exhaustion.

and now finally he could keep her safe, protect her not that she needed protection she was a feisty being but still she was his and no one was going to have her or even lay a finger on her.

Nerita had no idea when last she was this carefree and when last her mind was at ease, yes she still did overthink and had anxiety but it was kept at bay, all thanks to him. she felt safe in her embrace just being around him gave her some form of comfort and that's all she ever wanted, granted she could take care of herself but it was different having someone other than Kirti do it.

"Kayden can we go get ice cream now?" those damn puppy eyes were going to be the death of him "yes princess we can" bopping her nose with his.
