Chapter Thirty-Three

I wouldn't leave you.

After spending the most of our day in a small room with the rest of my court including Viserys, Rhaenyra and a few others there now only remained Viserys, Rhaenyra along with Alicent stayed sat, while I stood with Daemon as he eyed me closely.

"Perhaps we shall discuss what occurred last night your grace" Alicent began while I placed my hands at the top of the table with my eyes closed before reopening and sitting down

"Enough Alicent no" Daemon defended while taking his gaze from me to give Alicent a hard glare

"Daemon" Viserys scolded while Rhae stared at me and I stared at her with a small smile

"I had a conversation with my mother" I announced grabbing all there attention "she gave me great advice and I used it earlier today and if anyone of you shall like to call me mad I suggest you do not because there is a man who was sent here and only did what he did because someone I want dead gave him the very key to doing so" I paused and pulled out jacksons ring that hung around my attackers now cut off finger "any questions?" I added Daemon gave me a proud reassuring smile

"Tell no one" Viserys declared "we will have your justice" I returned the smile he gave me before turning to Alicent

"Swear it" I eyed her

"Daphne I would never-"

"I don't know if you would anymore" I admitted "I trust everyone here but you as I grew with them and I'm in love with one of them so do as I ask Alicent"

"I am a queen you cannot speak to me like this!" She announced making me and Daemon roll out eyes

"I am not in the mood to deal with this" I stated with my hands up as the door opened

"I came as soon as I could" I eyed my brother

I know what he did.

He will regret it.

"Please speak some sense into your sister Lord Stark" Alicent groaned I slammed my hands down onto the table making them all jump but Daemon

"I have shown you kindness after your betrayal to both Rhaenyra and I" I eyed her "I have forgiven you for all you have done these last years do not! Do not push it and do not tell my brother to try to mansplain anything to me" I yelled "You are a guest In my home, my kingdom and here women speak freely not to be controlled by the weaker sex." I added before looking at my brother "what do you want"

"I heard there was an attack I wanted to see if you were alright" Elijah said with a soft voice

"I am fine" I said before closing my eyes for a moment before pinching the bridge of my nose for a moment all I wanted was peace, in silence and my family gave me that

"Perhaps we shall leave Daphne to her thoughts yes?" Viserys told them as he got up and I opened my eyes

"No wait I am sorry" I told them with my hands resting against the table

"It is alright Daphne" Viserys gave me a smile

"I am sorry Viserys I don't know what is wrong with me" I gave him a smile as he made his way over to me before silently whispering so Elijah did not hear

"I understand" he began "not in the way or claim to know what you feel my dear but I understand the feeling of being confused" he looked towards Alicent and Rhaenyra "women are confusing"

"Indeed they are" Daemon uttered "but we love it" He smiled at me before I turned back to Viserys, I placed my hands on his which I felt comfortable doing he is my father and does love me even if he's my uncle through blood in spirt he is my father "I love you my dear so take all the time you need to" he smiled "you know where we will be" He gave me another smile "but I demand a rematch from our last drinking game" we share a chuckle

"If you like to lose all your money again uncle" I felt my smile retuning

"I cannot believe I allowed that to happen" I uttered as Daemon watched "I'm honestly shocked you are still here" I let out a laugh

"I wouldn't leave you" he held my hands "I would hold you" he stated with a small smile while looking down at me, I ignored my idiotic fears and stood before holding him in an embrace, Daemon rested his head on mine and we both closed our eyes

"I am sorry" I stated opening my eyes as he held my arms close to him as we pulled from our hug

"You my love" he let go of my arm and replaced his touch to my chin making me look at him "have nothing to apologise for" Daemon added looking deep into my eyes

"I know that I do although I should've been more cautious." I furrowed my brows angry with myself

"There was no warning of the attack and if I hadn't of gotten stupid-"

"You do that most of the time my love" I told him

"Never again I swear it to you" He promised I smiled at him

"I have missed this side of you"

"What side?" He asked

"The side that actually wants to be with me." I admitted "the side that isn't believing I am broken or looking at me like such just because I was attacked." He rested his hands on mine again before looking into my eyes

"I wouldn't leave you" he smiled
