I walked into the throne room were everyone stood while the king spoke, I interrupted by walking into the room.
"QueenDaphne" Daemon gleamed ignoring Liliana's stares on him
My Knight, Jackson took my robe off my back revealing a green dress causing some to gasp and wives to look at me distastefuly
"Sorry I'm late Uncle" I told Viserys with a small smile
"It is alright Daphne" he smiled before continuing on with his speech about something or someone rather, Daemons eyes follow me as I began walking to the front before stopping and standing next to Aemond, Alicent stood at my other side.
Rhaenyra and her children stood across from us, Rhaenyra staring at me with curious eyes slightly hurt maybe because with my dress and who I was standing with she believed we were no longer allys or friends.
When Biserys finally stop speaking I went to talk to Alicent but she had already left along with Aegon which was strange for her considering we had grown closer over my time here
I glanced at Rhaenyra who stood awkwardly next to her children speaking to them
"Beautiful your grace" I looked at Daemon who had now taken Aemonds place next to me
"What is?" I asked meeting his eyes
"You are" He looked me up and down before meeting my eyes once more
"Thank you" I mumbled before going to leave but he caught my wrist
"Meet me tonight" he said quietly
"There's a party tonight Daemon we're you both not listening?" Rhaenyra stated giving me a small smile unsure if we were friends again
"Excuse me" I said
"Wait Daphne" Rhaenyra said holding out her hand to me reminding me of what I did all those years ago when we were friends. she looked bewildered before I took her hand a slight smile made it's way on both of our faces as we walked out to the gardens together.
Like friends
"I am sorry" she stated clearly upset as we dropped our hands, I looked down holding my hands together before looking up at her
"I know" I tried to keep myself together but it came out as more like a whimper
I just want my friend back.
"I didn't want to do you any harm so-"
"So you said nothing and watched as I cried to Alicent who is now ignoring me as well" I snapped "meanwhile my sisters shadow follows me around like a rope around my neck attached to a man who broke a vow and a promise" I breathed after my rant now realising I was crying
"I am sorry Daphne" she turned to leave but my hand stopped her
"Please don't leave" I cried "I'm tired of being alone" I confessed
"Oh Daph" she hugged me instantly
"I miss my mother" I gulped down another sob "Liliana is here and-" I sobbed "with Daemon. And I'm alone, no protection from anyone" we pulled apart "I'm not even sure who the bad guys are anymore Rhae, everyone is looking the same and I fear-" I breathed "I fear something comes to harm us all" I added as Rhaenyra wiped away my fallen tears
"I fear it as well, my husband tells me it's just because I am a mother now and of course his mother believes the same" She stated as we sat by a tree "This tree was a symbol for our friendship, through bad winters, bad storms and Daemon we have always stuck together like the trees branches Daphne" Rhaenyra told me I gave her a look
"When did you get so grown up?" I laughed through a cry as she did the same
"Pain" she stated "I would not give my children up for anything but-"
"But Alicent making you go straight to her after having the last one did not really help matters" I stated "I could've taken her head she knows better"
"Wait till it is your turn" my eyes widened
"No-"
"You may not be my fathers child through blood but you are a Targaryen and to him you always were and are his daughter" Rhae stated I smiled as she threw her arm over me "Oh how I have missed you" she stated through a grin "but god I know the hightowers are green but that is so your colour" Rhaenyra added I laughed in response
"Ser Jackson seems to have taken a liking to you" Rhaenyra said
"I suppose"
"Not better than the real thing?" She asked with a raise eyebrow making me blush, laugh and below her
"Shush you" I stated "Daemon Targaryen is dead to me" I said
"Now now dear chosen sister of mine you both are like a story from a book" Rhaenyra grinned "plus if that cunt Liliana becomes my aunt I might just die from embarrassment"
"Rhaenyra!" I yelled lifting myself up from her arm as I choked back a laugh
"What?" She asked laughing along
"You're right" I laughed I sat back down next to my friend
No next to my sister.
My sister mine.
If Daphne did have children would you prefer a boy named after Viserys or a child named after her father? And for a girl should she be named After Alicent or Rhaenyra? ( Aemma will be a middle name if she does have kids )
