3rd Person POV
it was the day of nationals and Indiana's nerves were shot through the roof. she had every sense of fear running through her body and she didn't know what to do. she didn't want to go to someone but she couldn't do it alone so there she was out in the field again pacing back and forth as she watched everyone else do what they needed to while she stayed in fear and worry.
She had gotten Mac ready and finished when all of a sudden , there was a sharp pain in her chest and she got worried. She felt her head begin to ache and she felt her breathing begin to speed up. she walked out to the field and started to shake her hands and close her eyes. she let herself pace back and forth multiple times before she stopped and sighed
"you're okay, you know where you are. you're safe. you can do this, just breathe, breathe dia, breathe" she told herself as she took in deep breathes and sighed. she let the air wash over her and she let herself calm down
"Dia" someone called and she shook her head as she tried to keep herself calm
"Indi" they called again and she opened her eyes to see jade standing there staring at her with Mac next to her and jades horse on her other side
"are you ready?" she called and Indiana sighed as she looked down at her hands and then at the sky
"you're ready. I'm here Diana" she heard someone say and she smiled at them. she knew it was her mother and she only hoped that she was right. Indiana had never been so scared in her life, well there was one time before this.
there was two times in indianas life where she felt like she was either going to throw up or die from the impending fear in herself. the first time was when she lost her mom and the second time was right now in that very moment. she sighed and nodded as she looked at jade and nodded
"more then I'll ever be" she said and she walked over to jade as she tacked up mac and nodded
"ill brush him and then we can go" she spoke and she began to brush him before Marcus ran his hand over her arms and she sighed and leaned her head against his chest
"breathe indi, i know you're scared but you're ready and I'm here" he said and he kissed her forehead as she smiled and nodded. she let herself take the breathe and he took one with her as she let his cologne wash over her and he let her take the moment for herself. she held his hands and nodded
"i can do this" she said and he nodded before he walked away and she felt Mac lick her hand and she smiled at him and she kissed his head as she smiled and nodded.
