Chapter Six
I can't lose you

3rd Person POV

Indiana had gotten used to having bruises on her body most of the time. she was thrown off of mac a lot when they had first got him and her father had been abusive for the now six years that her mother had been gone. Indiana hated the feeling of bruises, but she never covered them. she always hated the fact that sometimes they covered the tattoos that she got. right now, she lay on the floor of her room and sighed. she didn't want to move, she didn't want to feel anything. she heard something hit her window and she grabbed her phone

'you can come up' she texted Marcus, she knew it was him. it always was. he was the only one that threw rocks at her window. when she looked over, she saw him climbing in and he smiled sadly at the sight of her on the floor

"you worried me last night. i almost thought you died" he said and she sighed as she smiled at him

"I'm sorry, I just had to save him" she exclaimed and he smiled as he nodded

"I know Indiana. i just wish you were more careful. i cant lose you. now moving on, are you coming with me today or are you going to stay here and wallow in pain?" he asked and she sighed as she held her hand up and he pulled her up from the ground

"ill be there, now let me get dressed and then ill meet you outside" she said and he smiled as he climbed out of her window and she got dressed. she left through her window and she got onto mac as they rode to the stables together. Marcus smiled at Indi on Mac and She smiled at Marcus on monty. When they got the stables, there stood zoe, Becky, and jade waiting for her

"our loyal hero has arrived" becky said and Indiana smiled as she climbed off of mac and put him next to the tacks. she never put his sattle on when she left the horse, that was probably bad for her but she truly didn't think anything of It

"oh yes my loyal supporters, how are you doing today?" she asked and becky rushed forward to hug her. Indiana was slightly taken aback but she hugged her and smiled

"im so happy you're okay" she whispered into indis shoulder and indi smiled as she nodded and let go of becky

"me too becks" she exclaimed and then she looked up to see sam standing in the doorway staring at Indiana and becky before becky looked at her phone

"oh god i have my shift at the cafe,ill be back. don't let bob get bored" she said and she ran off before sam looked at Indiana and walked off

"Indiana gosh i was so worried about you, how are you feeling?" she asked and Indiana looked over herself and shrugged

"a little bit bruised up but ill be alright. you know me" she said and sam smiled as she nodded

"i do, you're a fighter. im snowed under with all the paperwork for the barn dance, is there anyway you can help?" she asked and jade interrupted

"i can help, i love paperwork" Jade spoke and Indiana smiled

"then i can get on with the tryouts for the horse show, this year the prize is 15,000 pounds which would be a really big help with the bills right now" Sam said

"but hollaway riding school always beats us" Jade said and Indiana grabbed her arms as she turned her to face her

"not this year jade, i know that we can do this" Indi stated

"that's the energy i love, now lets get today going girls. zoe you have a lesson with indiana in the arena soon so please head there" sam said and she smiled before she turned and walked away from them

"you heard the woman zoe lets go," Indiana said and she got major out of his stall and zoe tacked him up and they went to the arena.

"I'm glad that you're training me and not anyone else" Zoe spoke and Indiana smiled at her as she helped zoe onto major and nodded

"yeah of course. however, we have to do this quickly because I have to go to work soon after this so lets be quick" she exclaimed and zoe smiled

"thank you for trusting me" zoe said and Indiana nodded

"walk for like 5 minutes and then you can do your gallop and jump that" she said and zoe nodded as they started to walk around the arena. until she did the jump and Indiana smiled

"you and Marcus are cute" zoe said and Indiana shook her head as her alarm went off and she looked down at her phone

"Looks like I have to leave , ill see you later zo" she exclaimed and she helped zoe off of major as they both walked into the yard. Indiana climbed onto mac as she watched zoe tack up raven and she sighed

"not your business" she said to herself and she started to ride through the field with mac. her black clothes and his white hair created a contrast that she loved. she heard the noise of the ATV and she looked up to see someone riding next to her and looked down at mac. she then looked up again to see becky, and jade with the others watching her

"lets show them mac" she said and she clicked her tongue as she squeezed her legs and she rode faster going ahead of someone only to see zoe flying forward on raven and she looked back to see Marcus following. Indiana had a job to do and she would do it so she continued to ride as fast as she could still beating the boy on the ATV

"INDI WATCH OUT" Marcus called and she moved over as Marcus rode past her and she nodded as all three of them continued to pass the boy. Indiana turned and she rode to work. when she got there, she got off and made sure that mac was in the stall they made for her. she walked in and sighed as she took a deep breathe in

she wanted to be okay but zoe was on raven and she didn't seem to be safe. Indiana for once in her life was worried about someone who wasn't her , mac or Marcus. she was scared and Indiana was never scared. she didn't know what was going on but she didn't like it.

she hated it.
