3rd Person POV
zoe did end up staying, and Indiana stayed with Marcus. They began to date each other, and people liked it about them. Jade had won the bet against Becky when they would finally get together. The only thing that scared Indiana was that Marcus was leaving, and they do say distance makes the heart grow fonder but what if it didn't? What if it made everything that Indiana was scared of coming true? She was afraid of losing him and everything she had.
but there Indiana was on mac as she rode him on the beach with Marcus not too far behind her. she smiled at her boyfriend and she continued to ride as he caught up to her and then rode forward.
"oh that is so messed up" she called out and she made mac go faster as they rode past him and laughed at his defeated expression
"hey! wait up!" he called and they rode back to the stables together. Indiana smiled as she saw Becky standing with jade and zoe as they stared at them.
"hey I know we're pretty but staring is considered rude" she called out and they all turned away as Indiana laughed under her breathe and she got off of mac when Marcus got off of Monty.
"ill be waiting for you" he said and he leaned down as he kissed her softly and then he walked away. Indiana smiled as she watched Becky talk to zoe about the junior finals and she smiled. she wasn't scared about that for once, she was prepared. she felt like she had everything in the bag and prepared. she walked in to hear mia
" Our little stables rose from the ashes and beat Halloway the county cup. And now we've got our site site on the junior nationals. Which is why I've set up an exclusive with the local paper. I want this yard spotless for the interview. It's a new dawn it right field. Get on it" Mia said and Indiana smiled as she noticed Marcus grab onto her hand and hold tightly
"hi," he whispered. they walked mac into his stables and smiled before they left to do other things but then she felt his hand wrap around her arms and he stopped her as he looked down at her and she looked up
"Marcus" she said and he sighed because they both knew what he was about to say
"We have two days," he stated and she sighed under her breathe as she shook her head
"I don't know what you do without you M. ill always need you" she told him and he nodded as he kissed her forehead and she leaned in against his shoulder sadly. they decided to leave his stall and they walked to the tack room and saw the others talking to each other. they held each others hands and watched everyone speak to them.
"do you guys even have a plan or are you just deciding to willy-nilly this?" Indiana asked and they all turned to her before they shrugged
"don't we always have a plan"? " pin asked her sarcastically and she laughed under her breathe and nodded
"oh for sure" she retorted and Marcus raised his eye brow at the interaction and becky nudged jade as she noticed.
"so what is the plan?" she asked and they all looked at pin for the answers and he looked at Indiana who sighed
"ill get the cup back , Holloway doesn't know who I am so if I get caught, I can just act like I'm trying to find somewhere to keep my horse" Zoe spoke
"you cant go on your own" Susie said and they all looked at pin
"there's where you come in" Indiana said and zoe grabbed the bag as they tacked up their horses and they rode to holloway. they jumped off their horses as they hid them well enough and Indiana looked at zoe and pin as they looked at holloway together
"the main entrance is over there, they usually practice from about 3;30 till 4;30 so if you go around the back no one will see you" Susie stated
"well call you if anything happens" Indiana said and she watched them run off. She stood next to mac as she looked at him and then the others
"you know we saw the way Marcus was looking at you and pin earlier" Becky stated and Indiana looked at him
"what way?" she asked in confusion
"like he was jealous which makes no sense because you're his girlfriend and he should trust you but he looked mad, almost annoyed" Becky stated and Indiana shook her head trying to ignore the possibility that Marcus was jealous.
"no no he trusts me, Marcus wouldn't think that" she said and they all shook their head before they heard sounds behind them and they all turned to see zoe and pin running to them
"mission accomplished, lets get out of here" zoe said and they turned to see holloway riding towards them and Indiana scoffed as she got onto mac and she rode out of the stables with the others as she watched pin stall them and she smiled at the smartness of him. they got back to the stables and they jumped off as zoe ran forward with the cup in her hand
"whats going on?" mia asked them
"funny story, rosie" susie started and Indiana walked over and covered her mouth with her hand and she shook her head
"I accidentally let holloway walk away with the cup. its safe now though" zoe said and then they heard maggie
"zoe tell me you didn't just take that cup from holloway " she said and Indiana looked at her in confusion
"she totally did. we had a plan and a signal, but somehow they knew we were there" Becky spoke up
"I just found an e-mail from the equestrian board. holloway contested the county show win three weeks ago" Maggie stated and Indiana felt herself get sick but she kept it in and made sure they wouldn't see it
"what? on what grounds?" mia asked and Indiana almost felt bad for her
"zoe didn't ride her round" maggie spoke
"I was rescuing raven" Zoe retorted
"and mia wasn't registered to compete in your place" Maggie replied
"I was covering for zoe" mia stated
"I know but the board found in holloways favor, that cup is rightfully theirs" maggie said and mia looked down
"wait you mean we're the thieves?" Jade asked and the reported walked out and Indiana sighed as she shook her head. This could only get worse from here
why did indiana feel so bad?
