I lay still in my bed, trying to chock down the pain by taking a few controlled breaths. My spine hurt, but I didn't have the might to even turn around to keep my weight off it. I closed my eyes and imagined I was floating. For a second, it worked. I felt instantly better as if I was weightless. But the pain came rushing back ten times stronger.

I sucked in another breath, trying to ignore the pain.

A sob left my mouth as the pain started increasing and I tried to reach my phone to call for help but ended up knocking it off my bedside table.

Waves of pain started running up and down my body, making the part it passed through jerk violently.

I gasped loudly, tears of pain running down my cheeks. My brain was fuzzy and my thoughts made no sense. In seconds, I was wondering why it was not flooding despite me shedding so many tears. At one point, I could feel blue light coming from my body and I was certain I was losing my mind.

Slowly, the speed of the waves started increasing making me jerk more wildly.

Heat, burning heat spread through my body and I felt as though I was being electrified. I could barely suck in short breaths and my head screamed in agony, but I could make no sound.

Soon, the heat became bearable and then soothing. The waves slowed down, running through every part of my body, making me feel less numb and actually better.

As it reached back to my chest, it diminished and died down, making my body fall back and relax. I felt exhausted, and out of breath, but the pain had vanished.

My eyes started growing heavy, and I succumbed to the darkness without the least bit of resistance.

When I opened them back again, it was morning. They felt wet and sticky, probably because of the dry tears. Wiping them, I got up from my bed and stretched a little, the memories of the previous night still unclear.

That was when I realized I had a severe injury and was supposed to be sleeping, and stretching could only worsen it. But my back didn't hurt. I felt no pain. I felt odd. Risking pain, I twisted my body a little, trying to see how far I could push it. But I still felt no pain.

Grinning, I did a small cartwheel, and my back still felt perfectly fine.

I tested it more by doing a somersault. I felt a small jerk run through my back, as painful as a pinch, but I usually felt it while doing somersaults, so I knew I was fine.

Grinning like a Cheshire cat while jumping like Tarzan, I ran down the stairs to the kitchen, where my mom was cooking breakfast.

Hey guys, got a piece of good news for all Ventures of Gem Land fans, or those who wish to read that book. Its trailer will be out soon, and by that, I mean in a day or two. It's ready, just needs a few edits. So, stay tuned.

Also, I myself have been creating the trailer so forgive me for this short chapter.
