"Tristan!!" Sigaw ko ng naramdaman kong pumutok ang panubigan ko. Nasa kusina ako at nagluluto ng almusal namin ng biglang sumakit ang tiyan ko. Napasandal ako sa may counter dahil sa sakit ng maramdaman kong pumutok ang panubigan.

"Tristan!!!" Sigaw ko ulit. Shit! Ang sakit talaga, parang natatae ako o nadidysmenorria na hindi ko maintidihan. Asan na ba ang asawang kong yon? "Tristan! Diyos ko po ang sakit!"

"Kate?!"

Umangat ako ng tingin sa pagtawag ni Tristan. He looks worried and petrified at the same time as he looks at me.

"Tristan..manganganak na ako."

"Teka lang." He said in haste then he disappeared. After a few seconds, he appeared with a wheelchair. Lumapit agad siya sa akin at binuhat ako at nilagay sa sa wheelchair.

"Trist!"

"Babe, kaya mo yan." He said as he opened the car. Mabuti na lang talaga at hinanda na namin ang lahat for this day to come at napawheelchair ready ni Tristan ang sasakyan niya. He wheeled me on the backseat and fasten the seatbelt.

Dali dali siyang pumunta sa driver seat at pinaandar agad ang sasakyan at pinaharurot sa ospital.

"Andito na tayo." Tristan announces as he parked the car outside the hospital. He then got off from the driverseat at inilabas ako sa backseat. He then wheeled me to the emergency entrance and a nurse ushered us inside.

"Tristan.." Letse! Ang sakit sakit talaga.

"Kaya mo yan, babe." Pinisil niya ang kamay ko na kanyang hawak hawak.

"Sir." The nurse turned to Tristan. "Pwede po bang dito lang kayo sa gilid kasi andyan na po si Doc."

Tumango naman si Tristan. "I will be just on the side, babe." Hinalikan niya ang noo ko. "Kaya mo yan, kaya natin to." Sabi nito at tango lang ang nasagot ko dahil sa sakit.

Dumating na ang doktor at magsisimula na ang kalbaryo ko. Sabi ko pa naman noon ng pinanganak ko si Mia na hindi na ako uulit pero heto ako ngayon iire na naman ulit.

"Kate." Tawag ng doctor sa akin. "You have to push hard, okay?"

I took a deep breath and nodded to him. Kaya ko to, kaya ko to. Sabi ko sarili ko at umire ng todo na napakahawak sa railing ng hospital bed.

"Nakikita ko na ang ulo niya Kate." The doctor informed me.

Napapikit ako at umire ulit. Letse! Ayoko na talaga, nakakahingal na ang pagire na to at masakit pa.

"Kate, isa pa."

I opened up my eyes and took a deep breath as I push again. Then push and push and push. Gusto ko na talagang lumabas siya. And I think my prayers had been answered beause I then heard the cry.

The cry. The cry of my baby.

I watch as the doctor snipped the umbilical cord and handed my baby to the nurse. "Congrats Kate." The doctor smiled.

Lumapit si Tristan sa nurse na nililinisan ang baby namin. He looks at the baby with awe and love as he waits for the nurse to finish cleaning our baby boy. Yes, lalaki ang baby namin. Sana kamukha ko naman at hindi ni Tristan.
