Maybe Tombs Aren't My Thing

Start from the beginning

"That seems like my cue to leave." River said as she went to stand up.

"Damon closed the tomb when I came in here." Stefan said.

"Damon was here?" River questioned. "How long was I asleep for?" River asked as she turned to Katherine.

"Almost twelve hours." Katherine answered.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" River asked.

"You look cute when she sleep." Katherine stated simply.

aww...

now I'm trapped in a tomb with two desiccating vampires.

-----

"Are you seriously going to keep ignoring me?" Katherine asked as she watched River and Stefan throw and catch the pillow which River had brought across the tomb from each of the beds they were sitting on.

"He is." River answered, accepting that she was know Stefan's translator as he had stopped speaking to Katherine.

"No, we can talk about how you regret all you've done to make my life miserable." Stefan said as he threw the pillow back to River.

"What do you want me to say, Stefan?" Katherine asked as River caught the pillow, "That I'm sorry for everything I've done? Well, I'm not, okay? It's called self-preservation. I've been looking out for myself for five-hundred years.

"Wow, look where it's gotten you." Stefan said.

...This seems personal...

I feel like I should stop listening...

Time to plot how I am going to escape the tomb which no one knows I am in except for the two vampires I'm stuck in here with whilst I have no cell service...

River was brought from her thoughts a few moments later as a loud thudding echoed from the entrance of the tomb. Hesitantly, Stefan picked up the lamp in the corner of the room and began walking towards the entrance.

If he wasn't a vampire he would be the blonde woman at the start of every horror film.

Katherine then followed behind him, leaving River alone in the main part of the tomb. A sharp gasp passed Katherine's lips as she recognised the figure standing in the entrance of the tomb.

"Elijah." Katherine stated, fear clear in her tone.

"Good evening, Katerina." Elijah acknowledged.

WAS HE NOT DEAD?

"Thank you for having the good sense to be frightened." Elijah mocked.

woahzies

"Your release has been requested." Elijah stated.

...Katherine's?

"What?" Stefan started, "By who?"

Oh yeah, Stefan's here.

"Elena drives a hard bargain. However we've reached a peaceful agreement, she and I." Elijah stated. "Please." Elijah continued as he gestured for Stefan to leave the tomb, "Come."

Yes daddy- NO

"I can't" Stefan objected.

"Yes, you can." Elijah started, "I've had the spell lifted." Cautiously, Stefan then stepped past the boarder of the tomb, a sigh of relief passing his lips as he left it with no restraints. Suddenly, Katherine rushed at the exit, wanting to be free of the tomb as well. Katherine however, was stopped as Elijah sped in front of her, blocking her exit. "As for you however," Elijah began, "You shall not exit until I say so."

Is he compelling her?

"When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are." Elijah stated simply before turning his attention to Stefan, "You're free to go. Elena will explain the agreement to you. If she keeps her word, I'll keep mine."

"Stefan, no. Please don't let him leave me in here." Katherine pleaded as Elijah walked away.

This seems like my cue to leave..

River then carefully got off the bed she had been lying on and made her way towards the exit slowly. Stefan then watched as River stepped out of the tomb, not wanting Katherine to try anything at the last second.

"Goodbye, Katherine." Stefan stated once River was out of the tomb before he walked away.

Damn.

"Please don't go." Katherine begged.

"I have to." River said, feeling bad for leaving Katherine alone but also acknowledging that she about to literally die of thirst. When Katherine didn't respond, River then left the cavern, entering the dark forest where Stefan no longer was.

Did this bitch leave me in the forest?
