2. Leave the Key ✨️

Lock me out but leave the key
I'll be back in the morning
Paying back all of the rocks in my sandals or flies in my hair
Though something inside me yearns
To know why you did it
For all the lies and excuses, or the son we never had
I'll drink wine at a picnic
And the tunnel vision will be so nice to
Keep me miles away, because I'll see red, if I see you
Smoked up or drunk, and killing my soul
All so I stop asking for something
That I don't even deserve
All day coating my throat and digging into cavities
Scratches so thick my lips should split,
But I can't do it anymore
Laying down next to him and dreaming of you
Hurts more than just me, but probably not you-
I slammed the door on your way out
To try to keep you in
I just was hoping that you might think about
Leaving me the key.
