Mercury in my veins
Shake me 'til I break
I've fallen down before
Staring down death
With wide eyed defiance
Just waiting, waiting
For something to finally
Snap
Open all the masks
And the seizures
Wracking my core
Leave me done for
Echoed in tragedy
Starving for complacency
Let this mercury burn
Eat away at arteries
It only stokes me
Make me move
Hope
That I will be done
It takes too much
To kill a god
Who laughs down
The barrel of a gun
You cannot kill
Something already dead
