I rise like the sun
At first with a twinkle
Then a dash of color
It builds into
Rich hues to warm
Any onlooker's core
And I rise
And I riseBut by midday
I stand above you
Burning too bright to stare
Melting away the weather
And scorching skin
Of anyone who
Sticks around too longThe end of the day nears
And my day is done
As I leave you with majesty
And dimming heat
Making way for the stars
Lending time to darkness
And I sink
And I sink
