31. I could love you, but...✨️

I could love you, but
With my love comes
My mean and my nasty:
All of the things I try to hide,
Some of which you catch,
But others nobody has seen.

I could love you, but
With my love comes
My hard and my honest:
Opinions ranging from
Your pants to your career,
Armed with finality.

I could love you, but
With my love comes
My fear and my hurt,
Not just on some days, but
Almost all the time,
Lost to my incapacitated temper.

I could love you, but
With my love comes:
My worry and my spite,
Spiraling paranoia,
Hurling towards you in
Whispers and tears of delusion.

I could love you, but
With my love comes
All of the things that
I fear you cannot handle,
Or maybe understand,
But know you don't want.
