I could love you, but
With my love comes
My mean and my nasty:
All of the things I try to hide,
Some of which you catch,
But others nobody has seen.I could love you, but
With my love comes
My hard and my honest:
Opinions ranging from
Your pants to your career,
Armed with finality.I could love you, but
With my love comes
My fear and my hurt,
Not just on some days, but
Almost all the time,
Lost to my incapacitated temper.I could love you, but
With my love comes:
My worry and my spite,
Spiraling paranoia,
Hurling towards you in
Whispers and tears of delusion.I could love you, but
With my love comes
All of the things that
I fear you cannot handle,
Or maybe understand,
But know you don't want.
