Chapter 45: Future Isn't Always Bright

Henry was feeling some type of way, here he stood standing in front of the ten thousand year old Erick Thawne and all he could say was he needed to talk, then again Henry did need to talk to the young Erick because it was important

He also did quite wonder what the future Erick wanted to talk about, but he wouldn't speak yet

All he did was run in the opposite direction and Henry followed him and they ended up in the apartment that he was in with Erick on earth 1, but it was different, nicer than he expected, almost as if someone was living here

The ten thousand year old speedster walks into the living room as Henry follows him as he goes over to the fireplace and puts a piece of wood in it and then lights it up

Henry just looks around unsure of exactly why he was even here

Future Erick stands back up as he turns around to Henry

Future Erick: Forgive the mess, I'm still cleaning.

Henry gives off a confused yet irritating look as he turns around and looks at the apartment, it was clean, very clean, not a mess in sight

He turns back to future Erick who still stood there with confidence, it pissed Henry off

Henry: Wait, wait, wait, have you been here this whole time?

Future Erick chuckles, he thought it was pretty ironic Henry saying "This whole time." he really thought it was ironic given how much time he had

He doesn't answer Henry's question as he walks past him, giving him a slight smirk and then goes into the kitchen as Henry follows him

Henry: You didn't answer my question. Have you been here this whole time?

The ten thousand year old speedster goes over to the fridge as he opens it up and takes out two beers as he turns around and goes and stands at the table

He slides one beer down as he motions for Henry to take it

Henry just crosses his arms as he stands there glaring at future Erick

Future Erick: *Sighs* It's not a regular beer, it'll get you buzzed.

Henry scoffs as he uncrosses his arms as he grabs the beer and future Erick goes over and stands by the window

Future Erick: Do you remember this? When you and I stood here and I asked you if you controlled your city, why you became the villain. We talked about our fathers.

Future Erick looks back at Henry as Henry nods remembering there conversation from a little while ago

Future Erick chuckles as he looks back outside as he thinks about their conversation, to him it was over ten thousand years ago but even now that conversation resonated with him

Future Erick: Alots changed since then.

A lot did change since then, even to Henry, both men have had quite the journeys since that conversation

Henry: Why are you here? Come to change the future? Put me down.

Future Erick laughs slightly as he sips his beer, not fully feeling the effects of the buzz but just enough

He turns around to Henry as he leans against the wall

Future Erick: No, no, I'm not here to do anything like that.

Henry: The legion-

Before Henry can finish Erick interrupts him

Future Erick: The legion are a bunch of stupid, Impulsive idiots who believe they are superhero's but in reality they have no regard for the timeline.
