Chapter 42: Devil's Greatest Trick

Inside the cortex at Star Labs, earth 1 Nora sat in a chair staring at the wall with tears in her eyes, she didn't even quite understand why, it's not like this earth was even hers, the flash of this earth wasn't even her father, but still she was upset over everything she's heard

The purple suited speedster finally stands up as she sniffs and wipes the tears from her eyes as she gazes around the room, she had been by herself for a while, no one had even come into the cortex in a while

Her gaze turns to the desk with the computers on it, she wondered if there was anything more that they could tell her about her father or Henry

She walks over to the desk as she goes around it as she sits down in the chair as she pushes herself up as she puts her hands on the desk and takes a breath

She looks between the computers as she turns it on as she begins to look through the files but there was nothing, she slams her hands down on the table as she puts her head down

???: He-hello? Ma...Max. Are- are you there?

Nora slowly lifts her head up as she tilts her head in confusion as she sees a hologram video of this earth's flash playing as she stands up

Barry: If you're watching this, that means I failed. Henry has done it. He took control of Central City. I don't know what he's gonna do with me or with the city but Max, you have to save her. You can't let him get to her.

The hologram of Barry looks around as if there is something coming, he looked scared, terrified even as he looks forward again as Earth 1 Nora stands in front of the hologram as the hologram Barry looks at her

Barry: Just please, save her, you have to do this Max. If not then everything I've done will have been for nothing.

Suddenly in the hologram there is a loud explosion as the hologram off Barry falls to the ground as Nora kneels down

Nora [E1]: Dad!

The hologram of Barry groans out as he looks forward again

Barry: Tell Nora.... It's up to her now.

The hologram of Barry disappears as Nora's eyes widen as she stands back up, what was up to Nora now? Did Nora know something?

The sound of a creek behind her causes Nora to turn around as she sees this earth's Nora standing in the doorway looking just as shocked as she was with her hand on the wall

Just then Irma followed by Mia and Jay come into the cortex as they see both Nora's just looking dazed

Irma walks around the desk as she looks between them

Irma: What's the problem?

Both Nora's go to speak but they didn't have any idea what they could possibly say, they had just heard a message from Barry Allen telling someone named Max to save "her." whoever that meant

Irma: Well?

Just then a wing gusts past them as the four of them look as they see Speed Demon standing there in his new suit

He just stands there as he cracks his neck as he breathes out and looks up at the ceiling

Irma was quite shocked by the new suit Henry was wearing, it looked even worse than the one he did wear

Mia on the other hand wasn't sure how to feel, she knew Henry was the bad guy, but she also believed he had the ability to be the good guy

Still no words were spoken as Mia steps forward

Mia: Henry, are you okay?

Speed Demon turns his gaze towards Mia as he looks behind her as Brainy and Mon-El come walking in behind her as he suddenly runs and appears in front of them as he holds the two of them by their throats
