while they were staring at each other, san remembered what he had come here to ask.
"oh, wooyoung-ah my mom... she wants to talk to you if that's okay by you?"
"your mother? oh um y-yeah sure!" wooyoung replied nervously
wooyoung was nervous to meet sans parents, he wasn't really an expert with words.
"don't worry if you feel uncomfortable or want to leave i don't mind just squeeze my hand and i'll get you out of there," san comforted wooyoung seeing his nervousness
wooyoung smiled and nodded
and with that, they both headed back to where sans parents were sat
"your back!" his mom exclaimed
san smiled and sat down with wooyoung,
"mom, dad, this is wooyoung. wooyoung these are my parents," san introduced
they both exchanged handshakes, wooyoung trying his best to seem as calm as he could
"so, how long have you known san for?" she asked
"oh, um 2 years but i've never talked to him until 3 months ago," wooyoung replied
"aha, i see! so do you have any family here?"
family was a sensitive subject for him but he was still willing to talk about it briefly just for the sake of sans parents liking him
"well it's only me, my brother, and mom," in reality it felt like only him and his brother, his mother wasn't really a "mother" after she started drinking
"you have a brother? oh is he older than you?"
"no, he's younger, he's in elementary school. his name is kyungmin," wooyoung smiled as san adored wooyoung
seeing wooyoung trying his best and talking about his brother felt healing to san.
sans parents kept asking him questions to try to get to know him better and after they talked for around an hour and a half, they decided to go and meet up again another day for dinner
after sans parents left, they headed towards a shop to buy some things then went over to haeun's to apologize for how they treated her. of course they knew she wouldn't accept it but they still try every day.
wooyoung and san sat in the backseat while sharing headphones and listening to music while seonghwa watched them through the rearview mirror
when they were close enough seonghwa called yeosang.
ys: did the idiots make up?
sh: yup, how are things there?
ys: good, are you guys almost here?
sh, yeah we're about to reach the parking lot
ys: alright
seonghwa hung up and looked back at the two lovebirds as they slept on each other's shoulder
"sannie?" seonghwa whispered trying to wake him up gently
after a couple of times of calling out sans name, san finally woke up. seonghwa told him they were almost there so he should wake up wooyoung, and so he did.
by the time wooyoung and san woke up, they had reached the parking lot and were getting ready to leave
seonghwa double checked that they had taken everything and they made their way to the elevator
in the elevator seonghwa asked, "wooyoung, how about you come over to san's dorm tonight? we can order some food together,"
wooyoung thought about it, the elevator doors opened and while they were walking wooyoung replied,"sure, lemme go change," he smiled
seonghwa and hongjoong were taken aback since they haven't seen wooyoung smile that often, san on other hand still got butterflies everytime he smiled.
san was going to go ahead to his dorm to change as well but hongjoong stopped him, "let's wait for wooyoung to finish first, you can borrow seonghwa clothing if you're uncomfortable,
san seemed suspicious but alas he agreed.
he got into the dorm to see wooyoung coming out of the bathroom wearing some wide-legged ripped jeans and an oversized hoodie.
san smiled at wooyoung, before going up to him and hugging him,
"what's this for?" wooyoung asked secretly liking the warmth of the older
"just... i love you," san said digging his face into his shoulder
wooyoung smiled and rubbed san's back
"come on, aren't you gonna change?"
san was reminded what he went in here to do and so he let go of wooyoung and went through seonghwa's closet to find a decent outfit until he finally found a pair of trousers, a fur jacket, and a black hoodie
san got changed and when he got out he found seonghwa, wooyoung, and hongjoong waiting for him still standing in the same spot
they eventually made it to san and hongjoong's dorm
seonghwa knocked the door, to which san and wooyoung were confused, and entered
san and wooyoung walked in to see their dorm normal which was weird from the way seonghwa was acting
after they all got in and hongjoong closed the door
4 men jumped out of various places, yelling, "congratulations!"
it was yeosang, mingi, jongho, and yunho, who was holding a cake that said "took you long enough"
san laughed as he covered his mouth putting his other arm around wooyoung and pointing at the cake
wooyoung smiled at the boy who was overly excited about the cake and ended up letting out a laugh
everyone heard, san forgot how much he missed that sound, they all ended up laughing and getting to know each other more
after talking they found out it was seonghwa idea, yeosang being the one who bought the cake.
a little after the cake, hongjoong took out some soju and beer. they started drinking and halfway through the night san confessed his past with his sister and family which eventually turned into a sobbing session
by the end of it, they were all asleep, some on the floor, some on the couch, some on the bed, and some even in the bathtub
but wooyoung and sans relationship wasn't going to end this easily
