Chapter 18

***pretty big time skip***

"Well, (y/n), I have to say you and the baby look to be doing extremely well. I bet dad here can't wait to hold them. Are you ready to know the gender?" The middle age nurse asks us.

I look to Levi, and he looks to me. We know what we want, so I answer, " I think we are ready to know."

She smiles, "Congratulations. It looks like you will be having a baby boy."

I look to Levi, his eyes widen and he smiles. He's actually smiling. "You here that, hun. We are having a boy."

Levi grabs my hands, holding them in his. He kiss them, as he lets one tear roll down his cheek.

The nurse leaves the room since the exam was over. Now, it was time to get prepared. Everyone would want to find out. I was now four months pregnant. We finally had everything situated in our new home.

"Let's get out of here. I could totally go for some tomatoes right about now." I say leading Levi out of the room.

We walked by the front desk, bidding everyone farewell. Levi has his arm on the small of my back as we walk across the parking lot. He decided he would drive my car today.

He opens the passenger door for me. Once I'm in he goes to the drivers side. "So I take it you either want a sandwich or a salad?" Levi looks to me.

"Yeah, let's just go to Subway. I can decide then." I tell him.

He nods his head at me. Then starts to pull away. "Can I play some music?"

"Uh huh." Is my answer. I turn on the radio, deciding to listen to some classic rock.

About 10 minutes pass and we are finally at the restaurant. I basically jump out of the car, running towards the door.

Levi catches up to me, "Didn't even give me time to park, brat." I know he wasn't trying to be rude. He was just worried about me and the baby.

"Hello guys. What can I get for you?" A young boy says from behind the counter. I look to see one of my newer students who transferred from a Marlean campus, Colt Grice.

I look to him, giving him a smile. "Hi, Colt."

He notices me, "Professor (y/l/n), Professor Ackermann, hi." The blonde gives me a cute smile.

We tell him our orders and he makes them. In the process of mine, he speaks up, "So, I'm guessing the baby gives you a craving for tomatoes today."

I take notice to my sandwich noticing that instead of a blt, it was more so just a tomato sandwich. I chuckle, "Nooo, how did you know?" I joke around.

He chuckles, ringing up the prices.

Levi and I go to eat at a table. I take out my phone deciding to post an announcement of our gender.

Post states:

"Levi and I are happy to announce that we will be having a baby boy. We should be having him around September. We can't wait to meet you little man."

Not even a minute after I post I get tons of notifications. Levi also gets them since he's tagged in the post.

"So, we should probably think up of some names. Do you happen to have any in mind?" I ask my fiancé.

He finishes the bite of his sandwich, "I'm fine with what ever choice you make."

I smile towards him, "Well, here's my suggestion; Ezekiel Wade Ackermann." I take a bite of my sandwich.

He nods, taking a sip of his drink. "It's unique. I don't here many brats with that name. I'm okay with it, if you are."

"It's settled then. Ezekiel Wade Ackermann. I bet everyone can't wait to see him."

We finish our food, bidding Colt farewell. "Anywhere else you would like to go, (y/n)?" Levi asks as we take a seat in the car.

I think. "Hmm. Not that I know of. We can just go on home. We could rent a movie to watch."

***small time skip to when y'all get home***

I was sitting on the bed, waiting for Levi to come back with the popcorn. As I was scrolling through the movies I came across some horror movie I surprisingly haven't seen before. It was fairly new.

Levi walks back into the room, taking a seat next to me on the bed. "Found anything?" He looks towards the television.

"Yep. I want to watch this." I say clicking the movie. He hands me the popcorn. He then lays his head down on my stomach, placing his hand there as well. I smile at his action. I believe he's the most excited about the baby. He may not let other know, but I know.

He lifts my shirt up, kissing my bare stomach. I get butterflies at the action. He then pulls me down to lay beside him, wrapping his arms around me.

"I love you so much, and our little boy. I hope he looks like you." He whispers, playing with my hair.

"Really? I was hoping he would look like you. I mean he would be so handsome then." I kiss his nose.

We continue to watch the movie, while holding each other. I eventually feel my eye lids getting heavy. I try to stay awake to finish the movie, but I just can't. I let sleep take over.

*** Levi's POV***

I'm watching these idiot people I this movie. I swear people in horror movies do the stupidest shit. I suddenly here light snores. I look over to see (y/n) had fallen asleep.

'She looks so peaceful when sleeping.' I push a strand of hair out of her face. I kiss her forehead, then lay back on my back. I put my hands on behind my head just thinking.

'It's hard to believe how far we've come. Some people might think we are rushing things, but I feel like we are doing well. We were engaged, had stable jobs, got us a home together, and we have a little brat on the way. I wonder what my mother would think if she were here.'

"Tsk. She would probably be excited to have a grandchild. I know she would love him, and she would love (y/n) too." I say to myself.

I decide to just scroll through my phone until, hopefully, I would fall asleep. I usually don't though, so tonight probably won't be any different.

I go to look at the post. So many people liked, congratulated us, some were surprised. I look at the ultrasound picture, I can't help but smile. It's out of character for me to, but it just makes me so happy. I look over to (y/n) one last time, before going onto read some article or story on my phone.
