Chapter 10

After some time, it's now time for Thanksgiving break. My class is not going to have much more work besides their final. I have told them to don't be surprised if they get some off days or just online days. Not too often, though. I still love to see them all.

Levi and I were still staying at my place for the moment. He sold his to a relative. Someone, Ruby knew.

"Babe, what are your plans for this year? For Thanksgiving dinner?" I ask looking through the different recipes I have.

"Well, I have still yet to meet your mom, step father, and siblings. Maybe we could at least go see them. Also, Kenny said Ruby is hosting the Ackermann and her side of the family to have dinner at their place tonight at 6:30." Levi explains.

Crap, today is the day before Thanksgiving I forgot about that. "So, I guess Ackermann side today and my side tomorrow?" I ask as come across the different pies. What pie should I cook this year?

Pecan
Pumpkin
Sweet Potato
Cherry
Apple
Peach
Chocolate

Oh the choices.

"Levi, what type of pie do you think I should make? I could probably make two for each event." I turn to my boyfriend to see him wiping down the counters.

"Let me see what the options are." He takes off his cleaning gloves and walks over to the notecards. He places them apart and looks at the options.

His scans his hands over each card carefully. I can't help but look at his strong, yet delicate hands. His hands are surprisingly soft. His nails are always clean and shining.

"(Y/n).... Babe...." Levi states. He then grabs my hand, taking me out of my daydream.

"Huh, uh yeah. What was your choice?" I say slightly blushing because he caught me gawking over him.

"I think you do a peach pie and a chocolate pie for tonight. Tomorrow a cherry pie and pecan pie would be great." Levi tells me his choices.

I nod and then start gathering ingredients. "Thanks for the help, hun." He gives me his "tsk" as a joke. I've gotten quite used to his attitude. Underneath his rough exterior, is a lovable man. He may have his flaws, but who doesn't.

I begin my cooking process.

***time skip***

After about 3 hours of prepping and then cooking. I had all four pies cooked. The kitchen was a mess. I knew deep down Levi was itching to get it clean. I wanted it to be clean.

I take off my dirty apron, then go throw it in the laundry. I call out to Levi, "Levi, the pies are done. I just got to wait for them to cool." I get no response.

"Levi?" I walk into the living room he's not there.

He's not in the laundry room or kitchen, I just came out of those two rooms.

I walk into our bedroom, nothing. Bathrooms, nothing.

Where the hell is this man? I looked through all the rooms until I come to the last one. The home office. I finally find him. He's on his laptop, listening to music. It looks as if he's going through his lesson plan. It was now 3:45 in the afternoon. We should probably start get ready.

"Levi?" I tap his shoulder. He jumps slightly.

"Done already?" He asks taking his earphones out of his ears.

"Yeah, what you up to?" I ask looking into his steel eyes.

"Just going over my lesson plan for when I get back. I was doing some grades earlier." He says logging off of his laptop.
