Chapter 17

Christmas Day, Levi Ackermann's birthday.

I roll over to notice that Levi was actually resting. His eyes were shut, and he looked so peaceful. I decide to let him rest. It wouldn't have mattered anyway. A familiar feeling started to rise up in my stomach. I take off running to the bathroom. I close the door, hoping Levi wouldn't wake do the sound of me throwing up.

I empty anything I had in my stomach from last night. 'I'll be so glad to get over this morning sickness.' I hear a knock on the bathroom door, "(y/n), are you okay?" I hear Levi groggily say through the door. "Yeah, hun. I just had to use the bathroom real bad." I tell him not wanting to spoil one of his surprises for today.

I flush the toilet, then unlock the bathroom door. Levi is leaning on the wall next to the door. He notices me open the door. Taking the opportunity, he walks in deciding to brush his teeth. I do the same.

He begins to fix his messy hair. I knew he sleep good because of it. Whenever Levi actually gets to sleep well, without feeling completely tired, he wakes up with bed head.

He finishes combing through his hair turning to me. "You got a staring problem?" stating with his deep, raspy morning voice. He looks to me with one raised eyebrow. I blush because I actually didn't notice I was staring at him.

"Oh sorry. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas babe." I tell him. I give him a hug then kiss his lips sweetly.

He hugs me back. "Merry Christmas to you too."

"So, everyone said they would be here around 10. We are going to have Christmas at 10:30 and your birthday party after." I explain the day plan to Levi.

"Who's all coming again?" He rubs the rest of sleep out of his eyes.

"Kenny, Ruby, Hange, Moblit, Erwin, Paige, Petra and Oruo. I invited the others, but they said they would be out of town." I count everyone on my fingers.

He nods then heads to the kitchen. It was 9 a.m. now. So, I decide to cook a small breakfast of eggs and toast.

Levi notices what I'm cooking, "Should I cut you up an avocado?"

I look to him with a big smile, "Yessss."

He grabs an avocado from the fridge and a knife, beginning to cut it. "Today's meal is..."

I finish up the eggs, throwing some toast in the toaster. "We are having ham, sweet potato casserole, mac n cheese, green beans, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, and dressing. For dessert we are having pecan pie, cherry pie, and cheesecake. Oh and your birthday cake." I tell him.

I go to the refrigerator, pulling his cake out. I open the box, "I hope this is okay."

He looks at the cake, "Blue and green for the icing colors. Happy Birthday, Levi... I see you made it yourself."

He goes to grab the toast, making our plates. "Yeah. I feel it's more special that way."

*** timeskip to after breakfast ***

I hear the doorbell ring, signaling that some of our guests are here. I walk to the door, opening it to reveal my boyfriend's aunt and uncle. Kenny was holding a couple of gift bags.

Ruby pulled me in for a hug, "It's been a bit. Thank you for having us over. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to you, Levi."

Levi walks up grabbing the bags from Kenny.

"Hello, (y/n) and pipsqueak. We got you two each a gift. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday." Kenny says earning an eye roll from Levi. Ruby and I look at each other and giggle.
